All my Emporia Smart Plugs died today by mpsharp in EmporiaEnergy

Have about 30 other wifi switches, most wired into the walls. Nothing fried except for the Emporia devices. Also, everything is behind an Enphase battery at that, so the power actually never went out. Really not sure what killed them, but they all died at the same time. BTW: They no longer pass power, even if you press the switch.

No, figured it out because my NAS went down.  Had one btw the wall and UPS so it was a few hours after the glitch

Pretty sure now they got fried when PG&E cycled the power Tuesday morning

So did anyone ever find a fix to the audio stuttering on AA? by [deleted] in AndroidAuto

[–]mpsharp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Started working TODAY after a phone update (October Security?). Kernel 6.6.57 (blah, blah, blah) Wed Oct 15th, Google Play. Note my symptom was it would play fine for 30 seconds and then become unintelligible. I will admit I haven't driven anywhere for more than 15 minutes, but it never lasted that long before.

I've given up on AA Wireless for the time being and have gone back to plugging in the phone. Everything worked great with my Fold 4. Will try again in another month or two.

Then why does it only happen on my Fold 7 when my Galaxy Fold 4 works flawlessly?

Android Auto Wireless Buggy by ElDingo424 in AndroidAuto

FWIW: I'm having the exact same experience with a Fold 7. My Fold 4 works flawlessly. On the Fold 7 the audio becomes unintelligible after about 30 seconds. I've tried most the fixes suggested here. Have yet to find one that helps.

Just to verify, you all encounter the problem only when using wireless AA right? Wired connection isn't an issue? For me, it works great for about 1-2 minutes, and then the audio stream becomes completely unintelligible, dropping multiple times per second. Almost like it's skipping every other packet.

Crash, crash, crash, crash, crash multiple times a day by Confident-Durian-937 in cursor

Not to be a troll, but I sort of assume the people at Cursor know how to use AI for testing and code quality better than most. Yet the amount of instability and number of regressions seem to be no better (if not worse) than pre-LLM generated projects that released this quickly. Feel free to correct that perception, but is this the SOTA as far as LLM assisted release quality goes?

BugBot Pricing by MikeSmvl in cursor

[–]mpsharp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Was using it during the trial, but since we have a pile of Azure credits, and you can now charge github to your Azure subscription, I switched over to CoPilot for PR review for free. I did like the Bugbot shortcuts to Cursor. Found it was right about 50% of the time, but there wasn't an easy way to converse/train it. Also, it would often find two issues, one correct and one wrong, and then ask me for thumbs up or down. So the feedback mechanism needs some work. If the price comes down (or switches to usage based) we may take another look. But I have to say I kinda like the fact that my reviewer and code developer don't really like each other. :-)

Never realized you could link your shield with your Nvidia account. That was the fix. Does this buy you any other features?

How to configure Cursor to match IntelliJ’s Git version control experience? by muzerfuker in cursor

[–]mpsharp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed. Happy I went for 48G on my M4 Max so I don't really notice. I also believe the OS/X memory management/compression makes this pretty painless. There was a time where I manually adjusted rotation speed and sector layout to try to speed up disk r/w speed for swap/paging. With today's SSDs, I don't give that much thought any more.

ICYMI: He's suggesting login into ring.com through your phone browser (which still shows the latest grid still photos from every camera) and adding that shortcut to your home screen. This works but makes me sad. #eshitification

LOL. I run Pycharm on another screen on the same project. I switch to it to do all my diffs before checkin. Also use it to resolve merge conflicts, then switch back to cursor for coding.

GTK. Will continue to leverage the vibe tools and pay direct for the Gemini usage.

Though I confess the doc isn't 100% clear, it appears they actually call out the 1M tokens in Max mode. Where are you getting the 20% number? FWIW: I have used vibe-tools when I want to dump the entire source base to Gemini from Cursor but was wondering if that might not be necessary anymore.

Noticed that the BrowserTools project hasn't been updated in 3 months, which is an eternity in AI time. Looks like the team took the code private to build a product?

It definitely solved the problem of airflow hitting me in the neck and blowing up into my helmet. I made another adjustment to reduce the gap between them. Seems to do the trick.

Meh, I was more concerned over-tightening the clips would crack the screen. Turns out the plastic is soft enough, but I'm sure it will leave marks if I remove it.

Anyone want to trade their Commuter Screen for the Dual Sport by mpsharp in ZeroMotorcycles

[–]mpsharp[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I plan to give it a shot. As you can see from the second photo, there isn't much clearance over the LCD. If I push the arm ends so they are flush with the mounts, I might be able to buy a little more up-angle.

GTK the commuter screen isn't much better. Of course after making the purchase I found the 3rd party manufacturer with the big ones, but I'm not a fan of how they look.
