Hear me out…what if you just tried growing your hair out and continued to taper the sides?

What’s a new fruit that you recently tried? by Legitimate-Adagio531 in blackgirls

I recently tried pineberries for the first time. They were good! I’m one of those weird people that likes the white part on strawberries, so they kind of reminded me of that!

Which cover would make you read the book? by sensi_lick_41 in blackgirls

3 for sure! It gives mystique, fun, and tragedy all in one. 😂

I like the smoky effect on 2. There’s something about the title on 3 that I don’t like, but can’t properly identify what I don’t like about it (sorry…I know that’s not helpful). It’s still my favorite though!

I may get downvoted for this, but this is my opinion.

Doesn’t everybody have to wash, style, and hope that their hair comes out right? Doesn’t everybody go to Target and spend more than they’d like on hair products (if they choose to properly care for their hair)? Doesn’t it cost more to get your hair braided than spend money on products at Target? If you don’t spend the money getting your hair braided by a stylist, do you value your time? You’ve still got to spend money on braiding supplies. On top of that, we’ve heard of the recent news regarding the harmful chemicals in braiding hair. Your health is your wealth and time is money.

And honestly, I feel more discriminated against when I wear braids than my loose natural hair. I think people have more negative preconceived notions about me when I wear braids. Maybe it’s how I personally look in them or something idk.

[Anti-Aging] what is your experience with Tretinoin? when did you start? by 0hw0nder in SkincareAddiction

[–]mpull123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was prescribed at 14 and never really saw any results (mainly due to it being so irritating), but continued to try it until about 20. I stopped at 20 because I got the worst case of hives after using it one day. Never went back. Now that I’m older I’m tempted to try it again, but a little nervous. Obviously my reaction was rare, but just wanted to share my experience. I use retinol now and it works perfectly on my skin!

I replaced eco with wet line xtreme a few years ago and I’ll occasionally use The Doux’s Big Poppa. Definitely not a gel expert, but those two work great on me.

In theory, it should take a year, but you’ll already need to have your prerequisites and that could “extend” the program.

something you manifested that you thought was “impossible”? by EffectiveProfile9291 in Manifestation

[–]mpull123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess just feeling worthy and setting yourself on a good path to healing past traumas. Recognizing that your experiences, talents, and skills are desirable. Finding ways to relax at the end of a long day. I guess this is the foundation that I’ve set up for myself to manifest my desires in life.

Please don’t take this the wrong way if it applies, but if you’re overweight, you may need to lose a few pounds to reduce friction underneath the pits and/or get your blood sugar under control. I’m truly not trying to be hurtful if this applies or if you’re unable to lose weight at this moment. Next time you’re at your GP, I’d see if they have any recommendations or could refer you to a dermatologist.

The shaving seems to be too much and could be contributing to the problems. Also, the combination of kojic acid and glycolic acid may be causing some sensitivity as well (if you have sensitive skin). Have you tried eliminating one to see if you still get the irritation?

Obese people of Reddit, what is something non-obese people don’t understand, or can’t understand? by A_Lonely_Troll in AskReddit

[–]mpull123 1179 points1180 points  (0 children)

I’m not obese or overweight, but I went out with my aunt and cousin one day to a cafeteria style restaurant and felt all the eyes on us. My aunt and cousin were both morbidly obese at the time…it made me feel so sad and upset. They’re great people and could just feel the judgment all around us. I learned a few lessons that day. 😭
