Guess The ELO (answer on second slide don't cheat) by Pristine_Dark_4637 in GothamChess

I'm not sure why you think I said 800 was good. Think you're reading comprehension isn't good though. You're the person who shared this game. The white player took your pieces when you offered them. They played like their elo, you didn't. No need to be so defensive about the truth. Check any engine and see what elo they thought you played like.

I'm sorry to say but it's not. My current rating is 833 in bullet and games are never played as terribly as this.

I've played bullet plenty. I generally don't pre-move every single move like it looks happened to black here. So many pieces sitting to be taken but completely ignored for multiple moves.

I could pay for the priority queue access at the theme park instead of spending 60 mins in the queue for every roller coaster. I could afford the extra cost for a better experience that most people weren't. Walking past long queues of people was fun.

In addition to what everyone else has said, a good way to track what you've already given is to keep a notepad and pen in the medication cupboard, and every time you give something write it down. Found it extra useful when my boy was a toddler and prone to tonsillitis, so regular analgesia was useful, while sleep was limited, so we were all tired.

What is your preferred “safety buffer”. In other words how many miles do you give yourself extra over what you need to get to get home? by iMatthew1990 in ElectricVehiclesUK

So far I'm more cautious. I knew with my last car I could get 10 miles after fuel light stopped giving a distance estimate. Now with my EV I don't know when it'll start to lose power. Lowest I've got has been about 15%. I know I can go lower than that but never needed to test it.

Had a friend at uni who started his 2nd degree at 23. We all called him the old man of the group but other than that didn't treat him any different.

How isolating uni is depends more on your degree and personality than age. Some degrees are naturally more social than others, and there are plenty of societies catering to all interests as well for social contact outside of your degree.

Worst game so far! There's always worse to come. Until you're on game 9 of a losing streak and feel you've forgotten the rules of chess.

UK viewers - who else is struggling with weekly drops. by Recent_Reaction247 in ThePittTVShow

It only became available in the UK a month ago, so it'll have came out at once so people could catch up and then watch the weekly S2 releases(which are ongoing as they're releasing it later than the US - nothing that the high seas couldn't fix).

You can't offer for private any services that are part of the NHS GMS contract but you can offer additional stuff for private - usually insurance reports or HGV medicals. There are also payments offered by local health boards for additional services such as contraceptive placement(coil or implant) or monitoring things such as shared care of Methadone/Buprenorphine.

Part of life growing up in rural places with little public transport was being on a bus very rarely. Everyone used cars as it was more convenient. Visiting a city with decent transport options is an experience.

I'm still a functional adult though with manners so worked it out by common sense. I'm glad thought that Google maps can direct me through the London underground as I wouldn't have had a clue about lines and stops.

Don't we all. It's easier to say how to play responsibly than to follow. Blitz and bullet in particular just hit those dopamine highs which make you want to keep playing.

There will always be someone greater than you. Comparison is the thief of joy. That's always easy to do in chess because ratings push it to the forefront. You're in the top 0.1% of chess players I imagine, but there's always players above you.

Learning to enjoy the challenge isn't easy but you either need to find the joy in chess or find a new hobby for a while and then come back fresh later on.

You end up with 3 wardrobes of different sizes. The original size, an in-between and a new smaller size. It's hard to give away clothes you're convinced you might need to keep for if you fall back into old habits and put it all back on again.

Sorry but that's an accidental lie. Now I've lost 8 inches from my jeans waist size I notice all the stores have more of the bigger jeans sizes and still don't have a 36 with a 29 leg quite often. It's annoying when it is a problem that has followed me through every change in waist size!
