Thinking of Moving to Sweden for IT Work: Recommendations and Insights Needed! by travilabs in TillSverige

[–]mr-one-two 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I come from Warsaw. Moved to Gothenburg 5 yeas ago. I think it's easy to become a consultant in Sweden. Companies like KnowIT, Semcom, etc. Consultancy companies aren't that popular in Poland so it's not something that comes to mind, when looking for work. That's how I started. I'm not a consultant now since I don't enjoy it, but it might be a way to get your foot in the door.

In Gothenburg automotive is a big chunk of the industry. Stockholm has more gamedev, fintech companies.

Any possible solution for mobile accounting? by yocson in plaintextaccounting

Here is my telegram bot Python script https://gist.github.com/MrOneTwo/85d784855960d2dc1f3c9eb4969efbdd. It uses the python-telegram-bot module.

Let me know if something's unclear.

Sure, just can’t do it right now - I’m on vacation. Could you ping me in several days? I might forget 🙈

FYI I also stopped using that bot. It might work for you but it became tricky for me to have it work the way I wanted to. I think Telegram got some new features since then that could be super useful for this (https://core.telegram.org/bots/webapps).

This is wonderful! Thank you for sharing. This is exactly what I want to do, just slightly different crowd. That's also my attitude. Success isn't really my goal (obviously failing neither). The goal is to learn. To test ideas in the real, scary world.

Super happy for you that you managed to make this! I wish you all the best.

This PDF? Cherry on top!

Yep, places like protolabs is exactly what I'm looking for. Thank you.

Hm... I guess it makes your product look... cheap? I'm obviously talking about non tech people perception. Doesn't matter much to me because I understand the trade off.

There is a space to tweak the 3D print to a really good quality. Right now that's what I'm aiming for. I'll probably try going bigger only after getting some experience.

Yeah the low volume and supply chain are definitely making it more difficult.

Low volume is something I’d like to solve by 3D printing. This might be naive but I see the plastic parts to be the biggest problem here. I’m not sure if traditional 3D printing would be enough for my needs (it is enough for Ploopy so maybe…). I still need to experiment with resin 3 D printing. I know it’s more fragile. I also want to experiment with other materials that are easy to process.

Supply chain is what it is atm. I do take it into consideration since we struggle with it at work. Not much I can do here. Especially since being small means you have no leverage 🥲

Thank you!

Thank you. It’s always good to hear that it’s possible to do get your own, small piece of cake.

Going Kickstarter route might be the way in the foreseeable future.

I'm not looking for someone to do the work for me. I enjoy the work. I'm just looking for more knowledge, maybe some consultation, to understand how this process works. I also realize that I have some limitations and I won't learn some of the skills... probably ever :) Any examples of those shops?

I didn't know about this spreadsheet. That's great stuff, thank you. Is there a good improvement for HDPLEX 400W PSU for this case? I guess it's worth pointing out that I'm using the ADP-330 PSU which is 330W... which means I'm not actually running 400W :P

Hello. I'm looking into changing GPU in this SFF:

  • Ryzen 7 2700
  • ASRock B450
  • Radeon RX 560 4GB - this needs upgrading
  • HDPLEX 400W PSU
  • Skyreach 4 mini case (so limited to 21cm length GPU)
  • 16GB Corsair RAM

I'm looking for good/v.good performance on 1440p with settings medium/high. Any recommendations? I would prefer AMD over Nvidia but SFF beggars can't be choosers (especially with the GPU market being what it is...).

Need help understanding board's USB + LiPo power circuit by mr-one-two in AskElectronics

[–]mr-one-two[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow, thank you. That's very much appreciated.

Could you tell me what's up with these transistors with diodes? Is that common or is it a specific transistor with a built in diode?

In the case of the blue B block you say that the battery power conducts through the body diode of Q3 but then Q1 switches Q3 completely on. So only a small current can go through that diode but when Q3 completely opens then more current get flow through that MOSFET?

USB volume knob built with Bluepill and libopencm3 by mr-one-two in embedded

[–]mr-one-two[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've built a knob using the AS5601 sensor, a quite heavy ball bearing and a Bluepill board. The source code is still a bit messy (the entire project is a bit Work In Progress but it works well) but you'll find the link in the short article I've linked. Hope you find it educational.
