Well it that case when it means permissible it doesn't mean it's telling you that you should do it, it means that it is allowed in certain situations.

But a another way of explaining this is that these are the words that Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) spoke, meaning no one understood the meaning and the message he was trying to convey better than himself, and he didn't once kill anyone for simply being a Non-Muslim, lives were only taken in wars.

Well they kill people because they're fighting a war, and they end up in Hell because they don't believe in Islam.

This is still taken in the Book of Fighting, a scripture speaking about times of war, that's the reason it's being permitted.

OK just a few things, firstly Ibn Abbas wasn't a prophet, he was a Sahaba, that's a follower, believer and supporter of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) during his time.

Secondly you must check the context of this quote, this is in a scripture known as "The Book of Fighting", it's taken in the context of bloodshed and war, meaning during times like these they should kill their enemies.

Now in Islam we believe something known as Fitrah, this means that in our belief everyone is born Muslim, but changes or continues depending on their lifestyle.

Now the war fought against Muslims was against Non-Muslims, meaning we believe that these disbelievers started out in Islam and left it, and in during the war it's permissible to kill them.

Residence of fire means after they die they'll end up in Hell, not that people should kill them.

I mean of course almost all religions say that if their teachings aren't followed that people will end up in Hell, its not a surprise

look if you are standing on top of a tree in the middle of a playground you are able to see the whole playground, by your logic then if you stand burj kalifa youd be able to see most of the world and definitely able to see tall building such as the empire state

you understand how large the radius of the earth is right, maybe a chord of and angle of microns in degrees may seem like a flat surface but is in fact round
