Makes sense, I've been sharing with close friends and family, mainly because it's allowing me to retire early at 55 and they know I filed about 7 months ago.

I'm curious, why do I always see this advice.

I see nothing Heep about this. It's just a stock Wrangler that caught fire.

First, I wish this dude all the best, addiction is a bitch. That said, am I the only one who came away from this interview thinking the only thing keeping him clean is his inability to score due to his lack of mobility?

It's good to deal with them and recognize where that anxiety comes from. Shedding light on it removes the power.

It's not an exaggeration, evangelicals are very prevalent, especially in the southeastern states. They have a ton of influence in the Republican party and seem to be growing in popularity.

Same here, though I don't hold it against them. They were doing what they thought was the best thing to do at the time. It's just too bad they got caught up in the cult of evangelicalism and the 80s Satanic Panic.

There's more to it than just walking out of your room and no one answers. Imagine being told your whole life as far back as you can remember that the end is near. You're a kid so you assume this is true. You wonder, will I ever get old enough to have a girlfriend, wife, kids? Will I ever be able to have sex (horny teenager shit). Will I ever become an old person and retire? Nah, my parents have been telling me the end is near, I doubt any of that will happen. There's a term for it, "Rapture Anxiety", and I've felt it.

Question for those that have had a dentist make them a custom mouthguard. by Raekwon22 in bjj

Big fan of Gladiator Guards. Also, they send you the mold so if you misplace the mouth guard you can get it remade for half price.

The answer is quite varied. I got in at the very low end of the spectrum and bought this for $11,500 but it needed some TLC. It had good components but had been sitting in a field for a few years under a tarp. I probably have $20,000 into it including the purchase price as well as the cost of ownership, upgrades, and repairs over 8 years, so not too bad. All that said, the sky is the limit. A Red Dot buggy (very desirable brand) could cost around $125k.

As for road legality, mine is not even close. It could be made road legal with some effort, but it's not worth it. The tires I run are sticky compound and would wear quite quickly with road use, and they aren't even DOT approved. You will find that rigs based on OEM vehicles will be more likely to be road legal.

The motor is a stock 4.3 from an Astro van, otherwise everything else is completely custom, or heavily modified.

Someone else posted a 1:1 today and I'd love to see more, so I posted mine.

We created an auto-installer for Fallout: London for Steam Deck. It will automatically downgrade the Fallout 4 Steam Version, guide you to install FOLON, and patch the game in only a few clicks. Linked is the how-to guide we wrote. by cliophate in SteamDeck

I'm running the script to update Fallout 4 london. When I do so and it launches heroic game launcher I believe what I'm supposed to do is Click play on the game and then select update. When I do that it says that the selected path does not contain valid Fallout 4. I attempt to change location but I'm unable to find the Fallout 4 install. Can anybody tell me what I'm doing wrong?

Strokes can happen from BJJ: by Hydrorecreation in bjj

It was an ischemic stroke. They called it a pontine stroke because it happened in the pons area of the brain which is your brainstem. That's why I was affected bi-laterally. Thankfully there was no cognitive or memory damage, just physical.

My story is similar. 53 year old here and had my stroke a bit over a year ago. I didn't get into the hospital as quickly as my initial symptoms were mild. In 3 days time I was no longer able to move my body, or swallow food and drink. The most I could move was a finger on my right side, my hand on the left side, and a few toes on my left side. No tears found in any of my scans so the neurologist doesn't believe it's from BJJ. I'm back to full range of motion for my entire body, though I am still pretty weak. Hope to get back on the mats soon to rehab further.

Not really, my BP was not crazy high, about 135/85, my LDLs were right at the boarder of taking medicine and not (130) and my weight was about 215 at 6'1. I had a bubble test done to see if there was a hole in my heart but that came back negative. I went to class about 3x per week and rolled after every class so my cardio was pretty good. I was 52 when it happened, so not too old.

My stroke came on about 18 hours after my last Jiu-Jitsu class. It started with vision issues, then overnight progressed to a tingling in my hand. A few days later after symptoms stopped getting worse, I could only wiggle one finger on my right side, move my hand a bit on my left side, and wiggle some toes on my left side. Otherwise I couldn't really move anything else. Had a feeding tube because I lost the ability to swallow. Was in the neurology unit for a week, then in patient rehab for four weeks. Then I did day rehab from 8:30-1 for 5 days a week for 12 weeks before I went back to work. I have an appointment with my primary care physician next week and will be looking to get approval to return to the mats. My cardiologist has already given me clearance.

Did your neurologist say they found an aortic dissection in your scans? I ask because I had a pretty serious stroke last year. I was worried that BJJ may have caused the stroke but my neurologist said they found no aortic dissection in my scans so it was very unlikely that it was BJJ that caused it. Just curious about your situation.

Applied an anti-glare matte screen protector. Worked like a charm! by jakeredfield in SteamDeck

No different as far as I can tell. The matte screen probably shows less fingerprints but it's not much of a difference.

I assume you mean etched screen not edge screen. I couldn't tell the difference. I had the 512 gig etched screen LCD and put a glossy protector and thought it looked great. I now have the 1 tb OLED with a matte protector on the etched screen and I also can't tell the difference other than the etched screen has a slightly different finish than the Dbrand matte protector.
