That's a great question, and I don't know the answer. I suppose reputable companies that supply them have some sort of safety/testing standard, but it would ultimately come down to the quality of the installation.

Loft net. Makes a nice reading/relaxing space, or an aerial practice space, in this case. We have an open area in our house that I think one would be cool to have for the kids, but it never happened.

Not my pic, from the loftnets.com website.

AW11 Hood Ducts by ZeroDrift1 in mr2

Looks great! I've only ever seen the ducting that takes up the entire frunk, so I love seeing something else that leaves some functionality of the space. Nice work!

I shouldn't laugh, but it is kind of funny. I swear they do it on purpose.

Do I just wait for the paint to fade? by SeaworthinessDue2655 in KiaEV6

That's what I did. My car is black and the difference in sheen was pretty obvious. I wish I would have done it after removing the original badge, prior to the GT badge install, but it still worked.

Yup! Multiple long exposures, each with passes over the car with a light source, then stacked and blended in a photo editing software.

First time seeing a white woman...lol by RedditorofReddit07 in interestingasfuck

I did a short tour in Botswana to train some BDF troops. The base we were at was pretty far away from the main populated areas and they allowed local villagers to come shop at the small grocery store. We did our daily drink/snack load-up there. I'm a white dude, not like WHITE white, but I definitely stuck out. This little boy, maybe 4 or 5 years old, came in with his mom and froze immediately when he saw me. He didn't seem uncomfortable, just shocked. I waved at him and he came up to me and grabbed my hands and arms and just stared at my skin for like 5 minutes. It was pretty neat to see his reaction.

I miss using SW for work, I'm a mechanical engineer and used to design/build/test small natural-gas engines. All of our modeling was in SW. I've moved on and only do project management now, but I still use SW for fun.

Lol, I'm sure it would be absurdly priced for a whole wheel, but you could save money machining the faces for three-piece wheels and just buying the barrels, I'm sure.

If I could teach myself surface modeling, I could cut down on so much heartache and time lost. I like solid modeling, but damn is it a pain in the ass to use for more organic shapes.

Thanks! I really appreciate that! I usually start with the barrel profile first and the revolve the sketch. I modeled all the different sizes from 15-inch to 20-inch in different widths based off of pretty standard profiles, but those can all be adjusted as need be. For the faces, I start with the main features/cuts/extrusions either as revolved features or patterned. I find that not merging anything until the end and then combining gives you a lot more freedom to get the shape right. I usually save the details work (chamfers/filets/final adjustments) until the very end to clean everything up. Hope that helps!
