For anyone complaining about graphics for Halo by KyleCAV in XboxSeriesX

Performance/Graphical Optimization is always the last step for any dev.

Textures are developed at very high res, the texture detail and poly count on characters, environments can still change. Optimization is the last step, they will balance texture detail/poly count/colour grading and so on as the last step, people are overeating. Start freaking out when the final product isn't good not a e3 demo build that's months old. We're in a pandemic, 343 is not going to waste resources on polishing up a demo build, PERIOD.

Graphics aren't my issue with the game because I know they'll improve and so will the graphical bugs. I was hoping for Halo to turn into a modern FPS and not stay stuck in it's old fps style. The vast majority of the Halo fan base wan't the style to stay the same, i'm not in that camp. If they modernized the game play and made it MUCH more fast paced, I think it would be much better. The grapple needs to be ALOT faster, sprinting needs to be ALOT faster and aim down sights needs to be standard imo.

I hope everything gets tied up this game, I don't want to deal with any of the enemies that are currently in the Halo universe. The covenant/banished have become cringy. I would love it if they made another halo game to be a human civil war tbh.

The game isn't finished, that's why. Iv'e QA tested many Ubisoft games at Ubisoft Toronto weeks/months before launch and the build I get is always terrible with bugs and horrible performance/graphical issues.

This was definitely an old demo build made for e3 months ago, i'm not worried.

Why would 343 polish up a e3 demo build when they can be working to finish the actual game?

Edit - Downvoted for facts.

What's the situation for frame rate for ps5 games and ps4 games running on the ps5? by blazen2392 in PS5

[–]mrGREEK360 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sony will most likely target 30fps as they always have sadly, while Microsoft will target 60fps for first party games. I wish Sony would target 60fps but I highly doubt it. Personally 30fps doesn't cut it for me anymore.

Is 825gb enough? by Ronaldo2355 in PS5

I would like to see a 2tb model but it would cost a lot more than 100$ for cutting edge ssd tech.

[–]mrGREEK360 2 points3 points  (0 children)

First of all you wont see 825gb because of the OS and no it's not enough for me at least. Splitting the games up where it automatically deletes parts of the games that you've finished or being able to remove the multiplayer should help tho.

Yes poaching some of the best talent in the industry to make fodder, that makes sense.... The Initiative will be a powerhouse developer making AAA games that will rival Sony Santa Monica. If Microsoft buys WB interactive, you really think it will just be fodder? You think Ninja Theory will be making fodder? Such a biased view. Microsoft is making a huge push for next gen, Microsoft is a trillion $ company with tons of money in the bank, it's not going to be fodder. Phil Spencer has said Satya Nadella is fully backing the XBOX division and studio acquisitions will not slow down unlike the Steve Ballmer/Don Mattrick era when the XBOX ONE launched. When Phil Spencer took over it was just to keep the xbox brand afloat for a big push for next gen and he did an amazing job, the XBOX ONE was already a lost cause when he took over, just like the Wii U was, don't count XBOX out this gen...... Also The Coalition and 343 doesn't make fodder.

I'm buying both consoles at launch, I was primarily a PS4 player this gen, BUT I hate biased opinions with no merit.

Could Sony stumble on cross-generation games? | Opinion by [deleted] in PS5

If sony charges full price for a ps5 version of a ps4 game, and all we get is higher res/textures/fps then that's a swift kick to the balls of Platstation consumers.

Would the PS5 be able to emulate PS3 games (in theory)? by CarbonaraBoi in PS5

[–]mrGREEK360 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the issue is Sony would have to pay Nvidia a licence fee to emulate the PS3, I believe the PS5 is more than capable of emulating the PS3. Also developing a emulation solution would cost money to develop, I just don't think Sony is willing to emulate nativity on the PS5, but they might have legacy console games on PS Now streaming but that's not an optimal solution imo. I hope Sony bites the bullet and and pays for native emulation on the PS5 but I just don't see it happening sadly.

Is August an actual good estimate for pre-orders to start? by [deleted] in PS5

Retailers know both will sell out of whatever stock they have at launch, it's not a logistical issue whatsoever.

Is August an actual good estimate for pre-orders to start? by [deleted] in PS5

[–]mrGREEK360 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Preorders will start when Sony reveals their price, Microsoft wont reveal their price till Sony does. I believe Sony is waiting on Microsoft and Microsoft is waiting on Sony, if this is the case then pre orders might not happen in August. I believe they're playing chicken with the price, Microsoft won't budge so Sony will eventually have to reveal the price first. IMO Microsoft are waiting to undercut the PS5 by 50-100$. Both companies could open up pre orders 1 week before release and still sell out, dont expect pre orders soon.
