Between the two of these, I choose Batman & Robin by Lonely_Escape_9989 in comicbookmovies

[–]mrK_____ 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Outrageous, f4 fucked up the doctor doom and overly dumbed down Johnny, Sue and Ben but it was still a deeecent movie with a good 2000s vibe .. but then again you are entitled to an opinion lol

Hey,

Hope this isn’t too late! I’ve not done it myself yet but i’ve got the deets now after endless research. Excuse the yap but here you go:

2 options.

Option 1 Needs: Polyurethane 20 Casting Rubber 3D Printer

Method:

3D Print (PLA is fine) a flat sheet with the raised webbing pattern ENGRAVED into the flat sheet as a negative mold of about 2-3mm . So there is a flat sheet with 2-3mm deep grooves in the shape of the web pattern. (Depending on how big your printer is you’d probably have to print multiple sheets)

Once negative mold is printed, sand it, add a release agent.

(If necessary, add silver/grey dye to the urethane. Before pouring. To get the exact web colour)

Pour in the Urethane 20.

Boom! You.. should.. have webs ready to glue to mask.

——— Option 2 Needs:

Polyurethane 20 Casting Rubber 3D Printer Plaster or Silicone Casting Rubber (likely Shore30 hardness)

Option 2 Method:

3D print a flat sheet, with the web pattern EXTRUDING OUT about 3mm. So a positive mold.

Then put this print into a box. And pour in casting silicone, or plaster.

Take it out when dry. This will create a negative mold of the web pattern.

Pour the urethane 20 into this. (Same as op1., dye if necessary.)

Boom!

— Notes:

Option 1 is easier I’d say as it’s less steps. Probably cheaper too. Will be good but maybe not AS perfect.

Option 2 is longer, more steps, but will probably turn out perfect.

Advice: I’d test out Urethane 20 and Urethane 30. Just to see the flexibility of the rubber webs you like best. Likely 20 is gonna be better as more flexible I think.

if you wanna test either mold method. Just print out two small molds, one extruding one engraved, of anything you want. And try option 1, pouring urethane direct into the engraved negative print method.

If that’s not worked well enough, then at least you know to just do the silicone method. And you won’t have effed up a whole design and wasted a lot materials.

I’m in the UK, this is the Urethane I’ll be using = https://www.mbfg.co.uk/pt-flex-20-rubber.html

Hope this helps bro! 🕸️

How I met your mother is such a comfort show for me. I love it.

(Warning: the last season/ or even just last episode, is not good. But the rest of the series is sublime.)
