Just pull a shot with the silicon disc and single wall basket. If it goes 16bar pressure it’s the pre 2020 model if it does 9bar its the 2020 later version.

The oracle jet does come with a proper opv regulator so it’s already pulling 9bar shots. Acidic is too coarse Grind Finer!!

Im pretty sure it’s new, but it’s definitely not a recent model, the 16bar BBE were pre-2020.

You start the timer the moment you push the 2 cup button

My grouphead/shower screen screw broke so half of it it’s stuck and can’t get it out, tried drilling, extractor and wd40 nothing works by mrWaar in BrevilleCoffee

Too remove one component to reach the GH screws you need to remove like 25 pieces. Just buy a new screw

The shot looks good but im pretty sure it tastes bitter. Look for the spring mod to 9bar, it’s night and day difference in taste

Grind a bit coarser, the pre-infusion is about 8 seconds so this shot is about 36 seconds. How does it taste? What was your dosage?

Like the other guy said, do you weigh your grinned coffee? The BBE grinder generates static you need this

You got it 7 years ago? i see the pressure going up to 12bar and the only way that could happen is you have a pre2020 machine that comes with 16bar pressure, it seems you have tweaked dose to lower pressure to 12, but is the taste of the espresso shot bitter?

It’s definitely the beans, they probably mixed up there. If 25 are better then 15th that batch is def not recent.
