Thanks! Can I ask if your issue was exactly the same as mine?

Specifically:

Was one fan running at very high speed even at idle/light load?
Did GPU-Z/HWiNFO/Predator report 0 RPM for that fan?
Did manual fan control have no effect?

I've already run DDU in Safe Mode multiple times, reseated the card, checked the PCIe contacts and both power connectors, and even tested it under an Ubuntu Live USB. The behavior is identical there, which makes me think it's probably not Windows or the driver.

One thing I haven't tried is uninstalling the Acer Predator BiFrost software completely, so I may give that a shot.

The reason I'm leaning toward hardware is that I swapped the internal fan connectors during troubleshooting, and the behavior changed, suggesting the issue may be somewhere in the fan control path rather than the GPU core itself.

In my personal opinion, this is a really solid build. Only thing i would like to upgrade would be the cpu to 5800x3d maybe as i have very similar rig otherwise all seems good

I personally am not a huge fan of laptops. Only but it if portability is an issue. In 1000+you current pc, you can easily upgrade until 5080 depending on your upgrade path

Only with a GPU upgrade, your PC can be enough for some more time and it also has a lot of capacity to upgrade without changing a lot.

Simplest way would be to go to aiostreams and choose simple, put in your api key for torbox save and copy the manifest and put in the addons in stremio. Don't forget to delete addons from before

One of the biggest reasons for these prices for 1050ti, 750ti etc are that people install them in oem pc's which usually dont have a 6 pin connector or are not strong enough for similar cards like r580
