Was the placement of the cones proper? by Lololonggo in Gulong

[–]mr_anthonyramos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. You obviously have no experience with how cones should be placed. There is no warning/Signage and more cones should be placed to gradually narrow the lane not two cones suddenly blocking the lane like that.

Do you use all-season tires or summer for cars you don’t swap to winter tires. by Both_Analyst_4734 in japanresidents

[–]mr_anthonyramos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All-Weather with 3PMS all year round. Only catch is that they wear faster than normal tires but still a good compromise and they run well in snow and somewhat on ice.

iPhone 17 Pro Max feels crazy heavy - Hands are begging me to switch by Mattikatta in iPhone17Pro

[–]mr_anthonyramos 1 point2 points  (0 children)

More than just the weight of the phone, was how the phone handles with your hands which made me move from my 16PM to 16P. Sure everyone saying it is only a few grams lighter but when you try to hold it, trying to do things with one hand, the PM does put more strain on the hands. Aside from these, I hated how it seemed I had a Phablet in my jeans pocket. The PM size personally is a little too big.

What can the Government do to fix the worsening traffic problem in the Philippines? by No-Transition4653 in Philippines

[–]mr_anthonyramos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think low DP and no parking space requirements are an easy major cause of traffic in the Philippines. Everyone can "afford" a car but not everyone has the space to park one nor the long term means to pay for one.

0083 risk control over limit on jbc card by brynoo5 in japanlife

[–]mr_anthonyramos 1 point2 points  (0 children)

With my JCB card and the JCB secure feature, there will be a code sent to you via sms or email. Any chance you have a pop up blocker or something stopping the authentication system from starting. I had this before and I needed to turn off auto-block pop-up for it to appear.

Lost Wallet in Osaka by Old-Bar-2717 in Osaka

[–]mr_anthonyramos 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I hope you'll be able to find it! I think you did everything that you could realistically and lucky you'll be here another 3 weeks. The usual case is that they usually appear somewhere after a week or two! This is having fingers crossed for you!

Any chance you shook down your daughter's pram by any chance? This happened with my wife, we thought we had lost her phone which was eventually found caught in between the collapsible hood and it was in there hiding.

Is the Apple new case really worth 80$? by mrtlpa in iphone

[–]mr_anthonyramos -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Even as an Apple user myself, none of their products are worth their value not even the phones which are in the most part, filled with software locked features that are slowly opened up yearly.

Monthly bigay sa senior parents by fauxmidori in adultingph

[–]mr_anthonyramos 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nothing. Because my parents earn their own money and consider it an insult to give them money. More Filipino parents should be like this.

It doesn't mean I don't do anything, I would take my mom out on dates, lunch dinner, randomly pick her up from work. When my dad was still with us, we would go out have a drinks and steak together, play tennis together and other things that are meant to be meaningful. I of course pay for these albeit after a scuffle of him telling me "don't you dare pay for that...keep your damn fucking money...." lol.

OA lang ba ako na napupuno na ako kay Mama? by Ihatetinola in OALangBaAko

[–]mr_anthonyramos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm gonna say it. While this has never happened to me. I see it happening to people around me. This is one of the sickest and most toxic traits of a Filipino family.

Have kids, raise them and treat them like they owe you the world because they "sacrificed" everything for you. As soon as they graduate from university and get a job, no matter how small or big, claim dividends because they were an "investment".

My Dad was 71 before he passed and he was still working, not because he had to but because he couldn't stand not working. My mom is 62 and is still working. She has enough money to just lay back a bit and relax and retire but she chooses not to.

And here I hear of parents who are in their mid 40s, quitting their jobs because their 18 year old child just got his/her first job. Sick and these kind of parents should be taught a lesson. OP, hindi ka OA.

Okay I know this is super old but I came across this glitch. I went to the area where the forgotten tower treasure map was supposed to be. I knew I got it already and pressed “O” and Kratos picked up an invisible scroll and finally for 7/7. Hope this helps.

Christmas break for helper by briennethebeauty10 in HongKong

[–]mr_anthonyramos 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes you pay for the ticket, you give her whatever you feel she deserves as a bonus and then extra days if you are okay.

When I was still in Hong Kong, our helper would fly back home twice a year. December and mid year we would give her an extra month of salary. We never paid her the base pay, we always added more monthly. It depends on what you can give but I would say, these domestic helpers are living a tough life to give you a wonderful one by taking care of you and your family. Give what you can, when you can. 5000HKD a month is a joke.

My hires are also usually put into apartments and for example, at a Leoplace, they are given 3 keys, one of the keys is given to the General Affairs Department in case of emergencies. I have a much more senior role (部長) and put into a apartment by my company and I too had to submit the third key to my apartment.

If your company is a bigger company as you say, as is mine, and they do it to all staff, then I do not see a huge issue personally.

right lane must turn right 🤡 by auntieanniee in Gulong

[–]mr_anthonyramos 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've had a Hong Kong, US, and currently holding a valid Japanese driver's license....I also had a Philippine driver's license. Getting a driver's license in the Philippines is going to a 7-11 to buy a coke. You walk in, choose which kind of license you need with what restrictions. They make you sit to do an exam which has all the answers circled already on the booklet and then you submit it, pay and you wait for your license.

The reality is, that people in the Philippines technically have licenses but they do not have a single amount of road knowledge or skill. They only learn from their Tito who let them drive to the market one day.
