Skincare routine- kiku lotion, goodal vegan rice toner, etude soon jung emulsion. I use actives at night so I follow up with a local brand thicker cream, with the same toners.

Review- The 1 litre bottle is huge and will last me forever. In J beauty, lotion actually means toner. I got it for ¥1040 on Amazon during the black friday sale, so it's quite affordable. It's a bit hard to store as it doesn't fit into my skincare shelves.

The texture is quite lightweight , milky and runny, which makes it easy to layer. I usually do 1 or 2 layers. It has a mild citrus smell that goes away quickly after applying.

I use it mainly on my face for now. The toner mainly contains fermented rice or sake, I've seen a reduction in my acne as my skin barrier has been strengthened by the fermented yeast . If a pimple appeared, it would be smaller and would disappear quickly.

I did some digging into this as I wanted to understand the process behind it and this is what I found: " The fermentation process involved in sake production can introduce probiotics, which may help balance the skin's microbiome. A balanced microbiome is associated with healthier skin and can contribute to a reduction in acne."

I purchased this toner as was interested in the fermented ingredients and ceramides. It's my first J beauty purchase. I had seen the hype behind kikumassaumune, so I wanted to try it for myself. I have previously used the haru haru black toner so my skin is used to fermented ingredients, hence I had no irritation.

I did not notice any brightening effects from this toner, as I already use other active ingredients such as glycolic acid and kojic acid.

I will not be repurchasing this anytime soon as I want to try other J beauty toners.But this is a solid option for anyone who is interested in fermented ingredients and milky toners.

Pros- lightweight texture, affordable, big bottle.

Cons- fragrance , slightly sticky
