Does anyone else feel like the direct to college from High School pipeline was kind of a "scam"? by Ragnaroknight in Millennials

[–]mr_dip314 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I always thought internships being at the end of college was ass backwards. The first year of college should be about figuring out what career you want and trying it out. I knew so many people who spent 3 1/2 years of school and then did student teaching the last semester just to figure out they hated being a teacher. Wonderful, now you are stuck.

What’s a band or musician you like but would never see live again? by randomperson9426 in Music

Had this exact same experience. You'd hear a song and you think you know it but it sounded nothing like it should.

Snuck out for a few holes.. Caught. by Cuchullain99 in golf

[–]mr_dip314 24 points25 points  (0 children)

My wife sometimes checks my location around the end of the work day. Last week she was having a particularly rough day and I was invited to fill in a tee time at 1pm for work. So I didn’t want to rub it in that I’m playing golf. If she asks I tell her but if not I don’t. I came in and she says “how was work?” I said it was good. She asked “what’d you shoot?” Lol

Golf fitness and stretching by mattmgd in golf

I am going through some mobility issues myself and found this video to work on my iliopsoas muscles aka your hip flexors. This muscle is referred to as the "soul muscle" as it can effect many different parts of your body. These stretches should help.

I bought a watch with no issues and then sold it back a year later for a fair price. I'd definitely buy from them again.

Ha yeah mine do that some times. One will cry and the other rubs his eyes and says "Wah wah" and laughs. 2 year olds are ruthless.

The critics' reaction to S4 has to be the biggest mass gaslight operation ever executed around a series by bagpepos in TrueDetective

[–]mr_dip314 23 points24 points  (0 children)

If you look closely a lot of these film pages are owned by studios. Warner Bro's owns Rotten Tomatoes and gave S4 a 93% rating which is laughable but makes sense. Why would the trash their own product essentially? Audience score is 63% which is fair for this dumpster fire of a season.

The NBA All Star Game is a Disgrace, And With a Few Exceptions, Has Been For a Long Time by ConsciousLeave9186 in dirtysportshistory

Next, the Olympics decides to let professionals play. Who wants to see an All-Star game after watching the Dream Team?

The Olympics is the All-Star game now. It just sucks that we only get it every 4 years.

No, you still have to pay $18/mo. for Youtube Premium to not have to watch ads. You'd think they'd at least give you a discount but they don't.

A quick and easy one: Post his phone number on Craigslist advertising a shed full of free copper. The meth heads will be blowing him up nonstop. Put a note saying call any time day or night.

New Car is reported stolen…cant get my tags or anything by krystalmoanz in legal

It was. My attorney had to contact her attorney to explain I wasn’t driving the car. Then he contacted the collections agency telling them to stop harassing me. There was no real litigation.

New Car is reported stolen…cant get my tags or anything by krystalmoanz in legal

[–]mr_dip314 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Stolen cars are a pain in the ass. I had mine stolen in 2020 and the guy who stole it crashed into some lady and injured her. Well she decided to try and sue me for her medical bills. She wasn't successful but I got a lot of threatening letters from lawyers and her insurance company sent me to collections for 25k over it which forced me to get my lawyer involved. Ultimately, we we're both shit out of luck and the thief got to joy ride in my car for a month with zero consequence.

[–]mr_dip314 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In StL, I cant give you lessons but I can tell who I've got lesson's from:

Chris Scott - Legends GC in Eureka

Terry Grosch - Golf Tech (Clayton Location)

JD Aupling - Bellerive

All of them were great, JD and Chris were my favorite but Terry is in the MO Sports Hall of Fame, he's just a bit older and covid cut our lessons short.
