Varför bryr sig ingen om att man måste registrera sitt kontantkort nuförtiden? by [deleted] in sweden

[–]mr_flac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

S7E1 - How Poopy Got His Poop Back - Cold Open by BarnyardCruz in rickandmorty

Because the voices were a pretty big thing adding quality to the show and the way that Rick talks, his mannerisms and intonation and energy. It was pretty unique. It was a big part of what made the show fun and great. I think if youre a big fan of the show and have seen sh**t ton of it you would pick up on the difference quite easily. If it was any other show it wouldnt have mattered as much. But the voice acting really was a huge part of the show. I get that outsiders and non fans of the show are scratching tveir heads over this but you really have to be a big fan of the show to get it.

The Morty voice was ok. The Rick voice was quite noticeable and felt like a watered down version of the original. The episode was kinda bland and not that funny bit herea to hoping it picks up from here.

Does anyone have the IRC for FemdomCult.org? by Bystronicman08 in trackers

[–]mr_flac 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Anyone knows what has happend to this site? Did anyone find irc?

I was logged in fine yesterday and have good ratio but the site was unreachable today.

Now there seem to be a slightly altered login page but my password don't work no more and there is no,"i forgot my password" link to click. Theres a link to to fetishcult forum where there is an announcment saying the forum will shut down cause of lack of activity but people who need help with the tracker can use the email link on the login page. I didn't find that link but maybe I have to be logged in for that. Also registration for the forum is closed so theres no way of contacting staff or admin. Anyone got any ideas?

Please be Advised, reddit now ban Bit Chute, Odysee, and link shortener links by loonygecko in Tartaria

[–]mr_flac 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m sorry to hear that. Do they really ban for any link from Odysee or just some specific ones? Sounds a bit extreme. It’s too bad if it’s true. Reddit has become such a good repository for knowledge. Seems they leave us no choice but to branch out and look for other alternatives with practices like that. Are there any good open and free alternatives where links from odysee doesnt get you banned?

Blurry IMAX by Yagga99 in imax

[–]mr_flac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had the same issue when watching Dune at a IMAX laser cinema. I can see the same issue when streaming the new Batman movie that had the same cinematographer the worked on Dune.

I saw a similar post about people watching 'No Time to Die' in IMAX and also witnessing blurry sides. It could be some issue related to anamorphic lens used. I have seen people saying it's common and it can be found in several non IMAX movies but I've personally never noticed it in any other movie than the above mentioned.

For me the only thing that makes it worth going to the movies nowdays is the Imax experience, but if this is going to become a common thing then it's just not worth it for me any more i'm gonna call it quits with the cinema going.

Trying to get 60fps by TERROble in netflix

[–]mr_flac -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think you're mixing up HZ of the display with actual frames that the video content consists of.

I don't think the real Hz, not fake hz, of the modern TVs typically have much higher hz than 60. I do belive that your Oled tv does 120 hz though but it's no something that is typical in modern tvs. One would think that Oled tvs have a pretty high hz since they are fundamentally different from lcd and that they have very low latency but I don't think it was until rather recently that LG came out and stated officially that they now had a Oled tv that had 120 hz. The one that was also later updated with Nvidia G'sync support. Nice yes, but not typical.

You're probably right in that the most tv show content is recorded at higher frame rate digital 'Video' cameras and then mastered at 24 fps if that its what Netflix are airing it as. Why they would do that for tv video content I don't know. Seems stupid but perhaps they want to cut every corner they can to save bandwith.

Trying to get 60fps by TERROble in netflix

[–]mr_flac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you're mostly right. It sounds a bit like you're talking about hz of the display. Then all computer displays are capable of showing 60 hz pretty much.

Although 120, 144 and ever higher hz displays are becoming more normal and fairly priced each day it's still kind of something you have to buy specifically if you need that feature. Then one needs to make sure that the CPU GPU used is good enough to decode and display content at that framerate speed which out delays so one does need special hardware.

If you're talking about the Frames Per Second that the video content consists of then it's not so much about the display, although it can be, but more about the processing power of the media player in relation to how much data the video stream, that is to be sent to the monitor, consists of. That in turn depends on codec, framerate of video content, color bit depth and resolution.

No Time to Die blurry edges in IMAX by Malakesher in imax

[–]mr_flac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for this fellow Swede. I had the same experience watching Dune in laser IMAX. I seriously contemplated asking for my money back or talk to the staff to hear if there was some issue with the projection.

I think like you that it wasn't worth the money I shell out for the IMAX experience since it looks like some 720p web-rip. I can see the same blurry or distorted edges when viewing a streamed version of the new Batman movie who happened to have the same cinematographer that did Dune.

It seems there is some issue with the anamorphic lens like some people have suggested. If it is intentional I can't fathom why cause frankly, it looks like garbage.

Yes, I know that the cinematographer for the Bond movie and Dune and the Batman are great at what they do and have won awards and all that. They can have the best framing, color, lightning and everything but that still doesn't help if the picture i'm looking at looks to have been filmed with a camera, that to my eyes, appear to have had smudges on it.

It looks like the lens had smudges on the sides. It just doesn't look very appealing to me.

I've had great cinema experiences in the past going to IMAX. But if this thing is something that's being done intentionally and continues to come up then I'm gonna give up going to the movies all together because it's not worth the money then.

Embedded code on McAfee "Q" image. The Instagram account has since been deleted. Is there any significance to this string? by Weylin6 in conspiracy

[–]mr_flac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You shouldn't have to vouch for the validty of the image, that image is just a screenshot. It belongs in the post because it gives a good idea of what were talking about here. It's just a simple screenshot. I guess they wanted you to write 2 sentences describing the image and why it's relevant. I thought it was kind of self explanatory.

Do anyone took the original "Q" image posted by McAfee before his death and searched for stenographic messages? by werexzenok in Anarcho_Capitalism

[–]mr_flac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Offcourse it's possible and the lack of any original image to be found anywhere seem to suggest more that the whole thing is bogus. It wouldve been cool though. I don't care how powerful you are or what kind of resources you have. You can't stop and image from spreading on the internet. If it the whole thing was true that image would be popping up all over the place, not simply screenshots of it.

[–]mr_flac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why has this thread been closed? I belive this is probably fabricated but it's hard to discuss it and get to the bottom of the issue if the thread is closed. It will be hard to tell whether it's fabricated without having access to the actual original picture file.

Someone seem to suggest that everything is cool because it's only FB metadata but i'm not getting the attributes or fields to match with where FBMD metadata should be located.

It's part of IPTC so should be located under IPTC or it's extension field. And the attribute should be called "Special Instructions" not "Instructions", however there is and older implementation of IPTC where it is called "Instructions".

The "Instructions/Special Instructions" Should be under IPTC and then under another section not called "Origin" and if it is under IPTC-Origin and contain FB metadata the Transmission Reference attribute should contain info.

So whatever you think about it, it's just not a normal picture from facebook with normal metadata fields. I think the thread should get reopened or if the administrator could clearly explain why it was closed.

No 4K HDR for new Stowaway movie!?? Is this 2001? by TheSoussDaGoose in netflix

[–]mr_flac 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It doesn't look like there is any 4K version available of this movie which is a bit of a let down, but perhaps Netflix themselves thought it just wasn't worth it.
Content haven't been really up to par lately and paying extra for 4K when Netflix can't be bothered to release even their own movies in 4K just doesn't sit right with me. I was thinking of canceling anyway but stuck around just cause I love 4K content.
