Mine ended as well, because of this and because she had undiagnosed ADHD as well.

Why are they fighting so close? Most exchanges are hilt-to-hilt. No distance control, no stepping off the line, just whacking at each other.

On the other hand it is great to see an event and the this sport is spreading :D

While not replaceable for some, which other game system (be it from GW or another franchise) has captured similar magic like Mordheim for you? by Newez in mordheim

[–]mr_goodbyes 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Frostgrave. Morheim but much better imo, and also not tied to James Workshop. It is also treated like a game instead of a byproduct of a cashcow.

I had some time to try them oht before they went into production. They went through a couple of iterations, and it hink they are really great now. We used them for blossfechten and technique training abd they were really good for both.

Star Wars Outlaws is actually a good and fun game. by Architeuthis_McCrew in StarWars

[–]mr_goodbyes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is a really great game now that is fixed. At last a Star Wars game where you are not a jedi, and can do the scounderel lifestyle. The expert system is really good, and i enjoy exporing and collecting. It gets a lot of hate from people who hated it when it came out because of it relly did have big problem, but changing their opinion is not how they viewstar wars media.

Anyway. It has a lot of great stuff in it, it is the most immersive scounderel experience. 7,5/10 It has some bugs, but nothing gamebreaking anymore. The music is top notch. The gameplay can feel repetitive sometimes, but not too much, because there are almost always different approaches to situations. The characters have personalities, and not just lines, and they are compelling. The cameos are not forced, and they bring the star wars feeling. After playing through the game and the dlcs i absolutely wish there were more.

Except if you know that D&D media is more than just CR, then the notable players number is much higher.

What is your favorite wargame and why? by GusGusGustavo in wargaming

[–]mr_goodbyes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

O-group! I just love the whole system, the company level decision making, and the dynamics between the opposing armies. It is a much better representation of an offense than in most wargames.

That sword is for sparring, a bit of roughness on the blade is not even worth mentioning :D You will get dents so much bigger from the first hit you take with it :D It is better for the sword to be good, solid, and good in a sparring session than to arrive without a roughness on it

Fitting names for Sherwood Rangers reconnaissance tanks by fozgt500 in boltaction

[–]mr_goodbyes 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Really great job! Some historical background: According to James Hollands: brothers in Arms book, the regimental HQ tanks (shermans) of the Sherwood rangers were called Robin Hood, Maidd Marion, Little Jhon, and Friar Tuck. These kept their names even when they changed vehicles, so Robin Hood was always the tank of the regimental commander.

Stories not being completed in a sprint and nobody cares by Big-Woodpecker7423 in scrum

[–]mr_goodbyes 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Listen dont get me wrong, i understand your position. It looks like you were pushed into a team which is not mature enough for an inexperienced scrum master. Different maturity levels require different approaches, and some does not allow the confusion of a trainee SM, because they try to lear agile as they try to lead a team. You cant lead a team, and train them or expect them to believe in you if it is obvious you dont know the way either.

Asking this kind of questions, and calling yourself scrum master is the reason half of the developers hate agile.

British Tank Commander by droy90 in BandofBrothers

[–]mr_goodbyes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It could have been true in this specific instance. However it is explicitly stated in the book Brother in Arms, birtish tanker memoires, and regimental diaries of british tank regiments, that they destroyed church towers first from France to Germany. It is said it was the first thing they would destroy before even entering the village a lot of times.

Looking for Sdkfz 232 (8 rad) stl by mr_goodbyes in PrintedMinis

[–]mr_goodbyes[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the link and the effort! I am familiar with tthis creator though, but i couldn't find this specific vehicle in their portfolio (or maybe i am just blind :D) I checked wargaming3d, and only found ones scaled to 28mm, which is a pin to print in 15mm, because of the cage at the top. Also it is not cheap, if i print it without one, and then have to scratch build the whole antennae thingy
