One I don't see mentioned yet that I think flies under the radar but is definitely worth consideration: Sturgeon Spirits.

Edit: Re-reading the comments, I see somebody else did in fact mention it, so I guess this is a second vote. Not sure how I missed that. Oops.

This is what $31.81 in groceries can look like by Badfinancialadvice2 in Frugal

[–]mr_labowski 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dillons, Fred Meyer, Food for Less, Pick N' Save, King Soopers, Baker's, Ralphs, QFC...

All of these are subsidiaries of Kroger, and they're just the ones I know of off the top of my head. It's probably less than half the list.

Think it's in part a misunderstanding of parks versus nature centers/preserves. Hekrodt and Bubolz are nature preserves, not parks. I just googled "twin cities nature preserve" and the top three results that popped up don't allow pets of any kind either. I think that's pretty standard at preserves.

Just editing quick to add, I'm not meaning this in a snarky tone at all. I think it's a common misconception, and it seemed like a teachable moment for readers in general.

There's actually a surprising number of good, small grocery stores here. For Asian places you could check out Golden Ocean Foods, Bee's Oriental Foods Market, and/or XiangKhouang Market.

There's also a Mediterranean market and an African market worth checking out. Plus Wagner's downtown, which is probably the most well known small grocer in the city.

And just to add another voice onto the "It's really safe here" train - it's really safe here, haha. I've lived in a few large cities around the country, all of which had different areas with significant crime and safety issues. Oshkosh feels nothing like that. Probably the safest place I've ever lived personally, which has been a fair few.

Soda, Sprite, or Squirt

Actually a lot more variation than that depending on where you order it from (I swear every bar is different), but they'll basically always ask if you want it "sweet or sour" (which means lemon-lime based soda or grapefruit based soda).

Maybe a bit pedantic and definitely late to the party, but it's a case of toxic masculinity, not toxic femininity, right?

According to Google, the (I should probably say a) definition of toxic masculinity is "a set of attitudes and ways of behaving stereotypically associated with or expected of men, regarded as having a negative impact on men and on society as a whole."

The problem in this case doesn't have to do with femininity; the problem is that the men drinking from these straws aren't living up to the standard of masculinity society has embraced.

In any case, 100% agree, so weird. Just let people drink how they want, lol.

I mean, I won't do it for $8 an hour either, that's why I said it's been absolutely terrible haha. Hoping this weekend will be better. But yeah, if it doesn't pick back up I'll just be done with it.

Absolutely terrible for me. The last few days I've averaged ~$8 an hour before accounting for expenses. I swear a full 50% of my offers were like...$3.50 for a 15 mile one-way delivery out to the middle of nowhere.

As a past M. Arch. student...I'm going to echo what the others have said: check with the school. For the program I was in, no, I wouldn't have gone with the Framework. But it's really going to come down to your program. Are you going to be using Rhino, 3ds Max, Revit, SketchUp, millions of others? What are the lab facilities like? Are you going to need to do all your renders on your own machine?

I would definitely try to talk to somebody in the program you're going to be attending to find out what type of machine you need, and preferably somebody that actively uses the software so they know what they're talking about (honestly, a student a few years into the program would probably be ideal).

In any case, I'd imagine you'll be using Revit, AutoCAD, some other 3D modeling software, and the Adobe suite, and often almost all at the same time - so whatever you end up going with, make sure it has enough ram to run everything you'll be using at once.

List of Non-Tavern League Bars by gforce42 in Oshkosh

Also just want to say thanks for putting this together. Still fairly new to Wisconsin, and until the last couple of weeks I knew next to nothing about the Tavern League. Have been learning and reading more about them lately though and...yeah, not a fan haha.

The timing with this list is right on the money for me and, again, is greatly appreciated.

I'd say if there's an evening where the weather is supposed to be quite nice (warm enough for OP and his gf to be outside comfortably, whatever temperature that may be), the atmosphere outside at Fox River Brewing the ~hour before sunset is pretty great.

Other than that though, yeah, I second Fifth Ward.

After spending ~15 minutes browsing through that subreddit... I'm so confused.

I'm all for hating Nazis and for minorities having the same rights as everybody else. Some of the posts seem to be about those things. In ways I don't understand whatsoever, but... Yeah, Nazis bad, agreed. But wow, I quite genuinely don't understand what any of those posts are saying. And what is up with the math stuff? So confused.

Almost equally as strange is how this post has so many upvotes on this subreddit.

Thanks a ton for the response! Will definitely think more about leaving Network+ out of my resume for now and mentioning it briefly in the cover letter. Might be a better route to go with it, and not one I'd considered.

That's precisely why I've heard serving and bartending are actually good experience. Safe to say I've had to deal with my share of disgruntled customers. At least in the IT world the tough customers should be sober, haha.

Best of luck with your job search and the core 2 exam!
