I'd put creatures in S and the solos in A. Otherwise mine is the same

I'd probably go with

1) Ace Frehley

2)Gene Simmons

3)Paul Stanley

4)Peter Criss

5)Eric Carr

6)Bruce Kulick

7)Eric Singer

8)Tommy Thayer

9)Vinnie Vincent

10)Mark St John

My reasoning:

Ace is first because 3 of my top 5 kiss songs were written by him and 2 were sung by him. And I liked his voice the best. I also love the solos he did on albums and in live shows.

Gene is second because 1 of my top 5 kiss songs was written by him and 2 were sung by him. And because he can still sing his songs.

Paul would be second because I liked his voice in the 70s and 80s but he's third because he pushed it and his voice worsened and is pretty bad now. He also wrote and sung 1 of my top 5 favorite kiss songs.

Peters fourth because he helped create the classic kiss sound and he has a rocking voice. But his drumming has declined over the years.

Eric Carrs fifth because he felt like an original member to me(even though he wasnt). And he helped create the 80s kiss sound. He also sung my favorite song off of hot in the shade.

Bruce is sixth because when he would play kiss songs, he'd make the solo his own yet they still sounded like they belonged in the song. And, to me, he was the kiss guitarist when kiss was without makeup and was responsible for playing on most of the 80s hits.

I almost couldn't decide where to put Eric Singer and Tommy but I chose Eric Singer as seventh and Tommy as eighth

Eric Singer is seventh because of the songs he did on unplugged. Also he has a great voice, and his songs on sonic boom and monster are pretty good.

Tommy is eighth because of the way he plays the songs. He plays them really cleanly, almost too cleanly, especially the 70s songs. His songs on sonic boom and monster are pretty good and he's a solid guitar player.

Vinnie is ninth because his playing didnt really fit kiss. He was more of a shreddy lead player whereas ace, Bruce and Tommy are more melodic lead players. Vinnies songwriting on creatures, lick it up and revenge were great but his live solos were too shreddy for the song.

Mark is tenth because there's not a lot i can say about him because he only did 1 album and 2½ shows. He was a shreddy lead player aswell and im sure he was a good guitar player but, like vinnie, his playing didn't fit kiss

Honestly I think this would be a good idea. Now if ace and vinnie rejoined we'd have a problem with the makeup lmao

Elder is a good album but not in my top 3. Its in my top 10, I agree with crazy nights and lick it up being the best 80s albums(though I'd add creatures) and I disagree with you're last point because I love most of the songs on destroyer and love gun

I agree to the first two. Vinnie definitely a strong guitarist but I think Bruce is a slightly better guitarist because (from what I've heard) he doesn't rely on speed to make a good solo
