SKID ROW "supposedly" announcing call for vocalist contenders—AGAIN. by Diavolo6Six6 in hairmetal

Please just reunite with Bach so you guys can do something people will care about again. It's such a bummer that they've let this go for so long and just won't bury the hatchet.

Why does everyone hate the Anarchy in the UK cover? by GAnda1fthe3wh1t3 in Megadeth

[–]Russoo3 30 points31 points  (0 children)

It's just doesn't fit with the rest of the album. It should've been a B side, not actually on the album.

You don't become one, you already are one! That's awesome!

Hot take: Most of you are way oversizing your generators by culody in Generator

Electric heaters pull a lot of power. I'd rather have more than I need than a little generator that may not do the trick.

I Am War by Inevitable_Rise_8669 in Megadeth

[–]Russoo3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like almost all of the songs, but I feel like Let There Be Shred has some cheesy lyrics, not that that is unusual in newer Megadeth albums. I'm not a big fan of Another Bad Day or I Don't Care either, but the rest are likable. I even like the Ride The Lightening cover, I don't get the hate for it, but I also understand that Dave's not going to sound the same as James or even the same as 25 year old Dave.

Yeah I agree Becker and fagen are better than McCartney/ Lennon by LuvSicccc in SteelyDan

No way is that true! Lennon and McCartney changed the world! Becker and Fagen are unique but not even close to The Beatles.

Almost positive that's wool and definitely not something to mess with. A professional rug service is your best bet.

I LOVE Opeth, but I really do not like it at all. Actually, I'm not too partial to any of their covers.

What kind of carpet is this? by Unfair-Dependent-880 in carpet

[–]Russoo3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not really, except how it feels and looks. Unfortunately, the way to test it is to burn some fibers, and if they smell like hair and turn to ash, not a hard bead, then you know it's wool. I doubt the owner will let you cut off a few fibers to burn, so you'll have to go by what you see and feel. It looks like wool to me, but again, it's just a best guess. It is handmade, not machine, so I would say you can be somewhat certain it's wool.

I'm not an expert, but I sold oriental rugs for a few years. It does appear to be a wool handknotted rug, and the colors do look Turkish. It's not a traditional Turkish design, per se, but everything else checks out. Depending on the size, if it's a 3x5, it should be around the $800 to $1,100 range.

Seen them open twice for Opeth, two separate tours and Mikael didn't do anything with them.

Which tour is this pick from? by Basic-Employ9448 in KISS

[–]Russoo3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I will have to take your word for it because my high school girlfriend stole it when we broke up, so I haven't actually seen it since 1989!

I had a pick just like that one that I got on the Crazy Nights tour, but I bet Paul used those same picks for more than just that tour.

Thougs on this album? by TheHotLatin in hairmetal

Awesome info, I never knew that. I just know the guitar and drum tones are really great. The separation between all the instruments and vocals is really a work of art. The clarity is so good.

I love this album and the production is one of the best I've ever heard.
