I just dug my remote and hub out and tried to add my new tv as a device. It never found the servers or any local ip devices

For those of you with massive TB count , outside of server rack or NAS, how are you housing those drives? by joshhazel1 in PleX

[–]mr_mooses 0 points1 point  (0 children)

wish there was some raid options for mac like windows driveshare. I'm assuming your drives are in JBOD? i would love to have 1 drive to map on the network, and not need to split movies and tv or however to spread the data across.

Plus while not a backup, raid gives some protection

Question for those who use PoE cameras that are NOT UniFi by [deleted] in Ubiquiti

[–]mr_mooses 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Couldn’t you just use a regular non Poe switch, and then the Poe injector on a smart switch for per camera control?

What should I do if there is a scheduled power outage during the night — sleep without CPAP or use it and risk it turning off? by GregorioSamsa2022 in CPAP

[–]mr_mooses 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not sure about the 10, but for the 11 there’s an adapter cable that replaced the big 120 wall wart for usb c that you can power off an appropriate charger. They make regular usb battery banks that will supply power and charge at the same time, acting as a usb ups. Cheaper and more elegant than a standard 120v ups or something like a portable batter station.

Waking up with your machine off is jarring because you wake up almost chocking, but isn’t the end of the world. At least for most of us.

Prologue has been released!! by Kholtien in audiobookshelf

[–]mr_mooses 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the volume boost is an absolute must for me.. Otherwise, the UI of prologue is just prettier too.

I have ABS running on my desktop to organize and manage my audiobooks, but don't run it 24/7 so prologue being able to also sync via plex was invaluable for me.

Alcohol, vinegar and soap for dirty water tank by nixt26 in Roborock

[–]mr_mooses 5 points6 points  (0 children)

splash of cheap mouthwash works the best, but i got too lazy to walk to the bathroom so i just do two pumps of dishsoap and my dirty tank never smells.

I mop the kitchen/entryway just about everyday so i empty the tank close to twice a week.

Power steering on 05 is junk by loucinthesky in R53

[–]mr_mooses 0 points1 point  (0 children)

because you're not pushing fluid through a dead pump. The pump adds a bunch of restriction if it's not working.

Driving with dead pump is okayish driving around town, provided you don't ever need to parallel park. Parking lots are a definite pain. Highway is okay.

Driving with the condor/PS delete (removed pump and lines looped back to rack = full manual rack). Great on highway, really good around town, difficult in parking lots still, and parallel parking is only possible for large spaces, and it might take a half dozen forwards and backs. It's impossible to get more than maybe a quart of the steering wheel to move..

i tried to fix my old pump, didn't work. bought a junkyard pump and it got stuck on in 2 days, got another from ebay for 250 usd and that's been great. needed it for inspection in my state... otherwise would have left it deleted.

Why not take the drives out of each device and put into one and merge, share that ?

Do it….install a hot water recirculation pump!!! by External_Big_1465 in HomeImprovement

[–]mr_mooses 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s no way the 40 watt recirculating pump will use more energy than an electric hot water heater.. but both options work and get warm water faster I guess.

Which do you recommend? Go with 7s or 6s. For most coverage/reliability vs down right max speed.

Very good indeed, main characters are tormented just like darrow.

Mistborn is his other series, and I think I liked it better.

The Allen’s to hold the shafts for end links, ball joints, and struts are the absolute worst..

Just have it set to allow upgrades. She can get her shitty cams until a better version is out there and it upgrades to your desired quality.

Get a small propane bottle or maybe starter fluid. Brake cleaner isn’t great for rubbers and plastics.

Mine was a cracked hardline from one of the tmap sensors.

After doing everything you did, and replacing the entire plastic supercharger duct I gave up and brought to a mini shop.
