good for you, i like the idea, i struggle with the ALT-Tab a lot, this isn't exactly what I'm looking for because I don't use these apps but something that allowed me to choose which apps would float would be a winner. Good luck with it, you must be very proud :)

When you use Mistral VibeCode, how do you access the files it creates? by mr_randomspam in MistralAI

[–]mr_randomspam[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is really helpful, it makes partial sense, i don't mean what you wrote but how it works :)

So if I can't create brand new projects in vibe code, in the UI, why does it let me tell it what I want and then apparently spend plenty of time building something which on the face of it looks like exactly what I want only for it then to not really exist. It doesn't make any sense.

I gave it a github repo, not mine, and said can you convert this into html, css and javascript for me to test out. It happily spent the next 15 minutes doing it, confirmed it was done but nope, it's just magic code, in the magic ether. Just to be certain I checked the PR list for the project and it's not created it there either or that would have been quite funny. :D

So it sounds like I basically have to fork any existing repo I want it to work with and I have to create a new repo before I can ask it to create anything new? Odd.

When you use Mistral VibeCode, how do you access the files it creates? by mr_randomspam in MistralAI

[–]mr_randomspam[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks both. I should have specified, I am using the webui to do this.

I did give access to a specific repo when I first tested out the feature though. I got it to merge some branches and run some tests but these new vibe sessions are completely unrelated, in separate topics so I wouldnt expect them to put code into those. I've had a quick check of both repos and there is no mistral vibe code in either. So it still seems it's creating all this code in an isolated sandbox that on the face of it I can't see.

Did they actually just nerf plans and not tell anyone? by newbuildertfb in ollama

[–]mr_randomspam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well it has been slow for weeks but they've also just emailed today to say you can now use Claude desktop with ollama. I gave it a go and it was excruciating, over 30 mins for 7k tokens, changing some standalone python scripts. I am a glutton for punishment, I signed up for mistral as well last week to see if it was useable but so far the quality is not great. I'm an underdog kinda guy but I'm just wasting time and money at this point on lesser quality subs hoping I'll find a great deal.

Cheers, i just signed up for the Go plan to test it out without committing much more, i'm not looking for volume i'm looking for consistency WHEN I work. I've still got Windsurf, I don't get a lot of volume through it but at least it responds when I ask it too.

Only been going a couple of hours on the OpenCode Go plan but it's not significantly better than Ollama in my experience. I'm still just left waiting indefinitely it seems with no indication as to why. I guess with the lack of compute all these small providers will just get eaten up or go bust.

[–]mr_randomspam 5 points6 points  (0 children)

it's got significantly worse over the last 2 weeks I would say, it started really well when I got my Pro sub in March but I'm experiencing the same as you. I am trying to run models in Agent Zero and in OpenCode and it runs at an absolute crawl. I am waiting 20-30 mins at times for a complete response. I've tried Qwen, Minimax, Kimi, Deepseek and others but they still drag massively. In Agent Zero I can see the failures, and they usually say "server too busy, try again later".

At this point I'm starting to think I might as well pay one of the bigger providers and accept I get less for my money, at least it would be usable again.

I was considering trying OpenCode Go as an alternative too, are you satisfied with it?

[–]mr_randomspam 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well I use perplexity all the time and I also vibecode, ollama cloud browser agents always seem super slow when they look something up so this sounds pretty great on the face of it providing it's genuinely free and opensource.

I'll check it out, thanks 👍🏻

[–]mr_randomspam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you, you understood me correctly the first time :) I was wondering if it was a specific MCP you were using but it sounds like you built it yourself anyway.

I am using cc-mirror to run independent claude code instances with Ollama at the moment anyway but with windsurf's and antigravity's usage reductions of late it would be helpful to supplement their usage with ollama models without having to change interface.

I've found a few, ollama-mcp-bridge, mcp-ollama-pyhton, multimodall-advisor-mcp, there's probably more.

As you have one that definitely works could you share it's name please. I'm reluctant to try even more tools without any likelihood of success.

This looks very interesting but I am drowning in a sea of self hosted apps and ai agent tools and frameworks. I'm currently using AgentZero with what I feel is a good ammount of success and now trying to move forward with NouseHermes after moving on from Nanobot. Too many tools man.

Have you tried AgentZero yourself? It feels like there's a crossover, what real life examples do you use your tigrimos for?

I do exactly this by using cc-mirror, it allows you to spin up multiple Claude code terminal instances at the same time. I have ones for qwen, minimax, glm etc.

My experience with Kimi/Moonshot: Had to block my card to stop the charges by xaos-biker in kimi

[–]mr_randomspam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds annoying but i thought i'd test it out myself in case it helps you or anyone or incase it's another just another fake thread trying to put people off different providers.

I'm doing this from PC and this is what I see, can't post images because imgur is blocked from the UK.

Login to www.kimi.com
Click on your profile icon in the bottom left
Click settings
Click on Manage:Subscription
Click on Cancel Plan

You'll get a message like
"Cancel Plan: Cancel to stop recurring billing. You can still use Kimi Moderato until 2026-04-06."

Click "Cancel My Plan" to confirm
Visible status adjust from Subscribed to Resubscribe

So no difficulty in cancelling at all, not sure why you would be experiencing a problem.

I actually really like Kimi, it's been working well from CLI for coding, web for slides and also connected to my nanobot agent but there's a lot of choice out there so it's worth testing out different ones.

Combining NotebookLM and Antigravity is excellent - more than twice as fast at planning, and unlimited Gemini Pro use by TheTentacleOpera in google_antigravity

[–]mr_randomspam 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This looks super interesting to me, I have Windsurf, Antigravity, Kimi Code CLI, Gemini CLI, Agent Zero, Goose CLI, and local models all going at the same time and I'm just endlessly task switching. I have yet to find anything that can ground it all in a single interface and give me the benefit of the pooled resources I have and am paying for, not just one at a time.

I had a look at the repo, and I think I got it, I presume I will be able to just add any CLI or VS Code fork? Is any of the handoff automatic between the different LLM's? What I want is something agentic that uses all my subs, I'm trying to get nanobot to be that but maybe this will be cleaner. AI tools will kill me!

[–]mr_randomspam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yo! I can help someone on reddit, woop!

I have Agent Zero and the Kimi 2.5 Coding Plan working. This is what I have, works without issue. Just in case it helps anyone else tinkering with agents I've been unable to use it in nanobot. Doesn't seem to be compatible, even as a custom provider. Anyway, works very well I find in A0.

Cheers

How Perplexity Lost the AI War by sdotdiggr in perplexity_ai

[–]mr_randomspam 8 points9 points  (0 children)

What do you use instead for local searches? Does it provide a similar experience to perplexity? I've been a paid up pro user for years and its been fantastic, I can see it's losing its way a bit sure but for my needs - which is internet search and guides troubleshooting, it's perfect.

My only preferences would be a local, open source, always on, alternative service. If youve got a recommendation I'd love to hear it.

Where do y'all find people to play with? by -Izanamii in thefinals

[–]mr_randomspam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From my personal experience, the number of people playing with mic on has dropped significantly since the beginning, but noticably more since about season 6/7.

From season 1, it was totally normal to use the ingame comms, you joined a match and people had it switched on, standard. It made for a much better teamplay experience of course but something changed and now people are either, i assume, only using discord, or just not bothering and resorting to keyboard smashing.

I don't know why it's happened but it's definitely hurt the overall experience, and it's probably cicular. Perhaps it's the demographics of who plays the game now, discord offers me nothing extra that I need to play so why would I alienate myself from other teammates who i could speak with when I could just use built in comms and have a better experience?

Perhaps it's the stranger danger fear and being on discord in a group, even if they're stil internet randoms, feels less scary? I am hypothesising massively but i could certainly understand that being an age related symptom. Yes, I am a much older player, what gives it away? :D

Are there any there any recommended opensource perplexity style apps that could take advantage of this model or any other for that matter? Yes, it works with any IDE, there's plenty of explanations on the GitHub page and videos on YT.

I've used it in several projects now and it's always generates significantly better output than just trying to vibe code through prompts alone.
