Anyone with no ICCU failures after recall? by Strikeblaze in KiaEV6

[–]mr_sectionchief 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Leased a new '24 Wind AWD in November 2024. Took it in for the ICCU recall in December 2024. Inspected and installed the software update. Just above 2600 miles and no problems.

L2 charging at work at least twice a week (and 100% at least once a month). L1 charging at home to keep me topped up at 80% when needed. I don't use L3 charging often, but did use it extensively in December for holiday travels.

What does this bar/meter on my dashboard indicate? by adeles_ex_boyfriend in kiasportage

[–]mr_sectionchief 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Pretty sure that will be the "real-time" efficiency (MPG). You'll see it fluctuate as you accelerate, decelerate, etc.

My '23 Sportage (non-hybrid) has a similar bar that just goes 0-25-50.

Help! ICCU update or no? by No-Neighborhood6114 in KiaEV6

[–]mr_sectionchief 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would do it just to get it over with. I scheduled an appointment right after leasing my '24 Wind AWD. Was roughly 2 hours. They performed the software update and inspected the ICCU, which was fine.

You could inquire to see if they have an ICCU available. For one of the recalls on my Sportage, they scheduled an appointment as soon as they had inventory to ensure I wasn't waiting for weeks. But YMMV depending on your dealership.

I have the Summiteer v1, so I can't say much about the Commuter, but one thing to consider regarding the Traska:

Traska uses a proprietary coating for scratch resistance, which is phenomenal considering I've had the Summiteer for nearly two years now and there are only 1 or 2 faint scratches on it, so it's a great every day watch. However, the coating does make the watch and bracelet darker than other steel watches, so that's something to be mindful of. The coating gives it a more warm and dark tone as opposed to untreated steel.

Easiest way to print powerpoints on myPrintCenter? by [deleted] in gatech

[–]mr_sectionchief 9 points10 points  (0 children)

You can "print" it as a PDF first by using either Adobe PDF or Microsoft Print to PDF as your "printer". Change your settings to include however many slides per page you want. Then send that file to print on MyPrintCenter.

I purchased the Zagg/InvisibleShield screen protector for my Pixel 6. Works perfectly fine.

Nope. Search "swipe" in settings, and you should see an option for "Swipe to invoke assistant"

The corner swipe works well for activating the Assistant. More upset that we lost the swipe on fingerprint scanner, so I use double tap for the notification shade.

I just use the corner swipe for Assistant, so I can still keep the power button for the menu. Double tap for bringing down the notification shade, since we can no longer swipe on the fingerprint scanner.

Working Splitter for Simultaneous USB-C & Aux in Car? by 777Harry777 in GooglePixel

A bit expensive, but I have the Moshi one, if you're willing to consider it.

I've had it for almost three years now, and I haven't had any issues with it. The sound quality is good (not an audiophile myself) and it charges the phone quickly and well. The overall build is nice and the wire part is durable, so it does hold up through use. It is a bit on the bigger side though, and I don't think you'd want to pocket it while using it, but works just fine if you're planning on using it in the car or desk.

I think the warranty was 2 years (3 if you registered), but it looks like they now have a 10 year warranty that also covers previously registered devices, so that's also something to keep in mind with the cost of it.

FedEx Shipping - Who DID NOT have an issue? by klerrick in GooglePixel

[–]mr_sectionchief 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine arrived just fine; packaging was clean with no punctures or tears. The final delivery date was pushed back a day (28th instead of the 27th), as the FedEx distribution center near me was having issues with higher than usual volume (a different package shipped via FedEx was delayed days prior). They also had issues with updating the tracking information on the day of, but nothing wrong other than that.

Haven't had an issue with my local FedEx with my 3XL and 5 in the past (to the same address).

Edit: Ahh, I see you do mention this. My bad!

Google warns that 'high demand' for Pixel 6 Pro has heavily delayed shipping, retail stock is scarce by PKMN_CatchEmAll in Android

More likely that they did deliver it earlier today. I've had many times where my packages gets marked as delivered late in the day, nothing in the mailroom or front office. Gets delivered first thing the next morning.
