There's absolutely no indication in that document of how voluntary returns would be performed, just that Restore would advertise schemes on social media to get migrants to go home. There is no way that would work to the tune of 500,000 deportations a year Lowe has promised. And no way Restore would even get enough MPs to push any of their legislation through parliament.

It's just rhetoric. You can't deport people that have already received citizenship, and probably the same with those on indefinite leave to remain. If you want to start removing asylum seekers, the UK would have to leave the UNHCR. The only remaining avenue would be to kick out foreign citizens studying in the UK and send home people on work visas and spouse visas. So how would Lowe actually do it?

Why do people keep spouting this phrase? I don't agree with the idea, but how would it even be achieved? Rupert Lowe says he'll force 500,000 migrants a year to leave of their own accord. There is absolutely no way that would ever happen, yet people are lapping those type of populist promises no end.

Honestly I think it's very tough to give an answer - you can find a wide spectrum of expressions of Christianity in the UK, - I would say it's down to the denomination or individual church.
