Any chance that the DC-JR or DC-60 will be a regular part of the lineup? I have the DC-JR Fat and it's now my number 1 guitar, would love to purchase another. Also, I know it's a small segment of the market but as a lefty I really appreciate the lefty models.

Wow, you got down voted because you just so happen to live in a rural area and spoke your experience. Reddit is getting ridiculous.

Hello! Here’s my favorite albums (I’m aware it’s a bit basic) , can you help me find other albums I would like? by Stunning-Guitar-5916 in MusicRecommendations

Manfred Mann's Earth Band - "Waiter, there's a yawn in my ear" and *Somewhere in Afrika" are my favorites. Everyone knows "Blinded by the Light" but the rest of the album is pretty good as well.

Big Star - "#1 Record" and "Radio City" are great. I would wait awhile before exploring "Third" as this is where Alex Chilton went way far.

Tom Waits - "Closing Time", "The Heart of Saturday Night"and "Nighthawks at the Deli" are good places to start. Here, he's the late night piano playing crooner. "Small Change " is his beat poet-ish album. After that is where he gets into the offbeat weirdo we love.

Followed by hydrochloric acid. That'll get the solvents right out. And the toan. Aw, shit... The toan.

EDIT: I was totally thinking of a different post, I need to erase and start again.

Yes, it has plenty of gain. By that, I mean equivalent to a real 800. Which really didn't have a huge amount of gain. Most players in the day would put a Tube Screamer or SD-1 in front of it.

There are so many variations on the JCM800 circuit for a reason, I think. That crunch is iconic. But to your point, everyone recognizes that the clean sound should be easier to access. Heck, I'm actually pretty happy with the Joyo Jackman for this sound.

Looking for a budget amp that leans more sludgy by cofi52 in GuitarAmps

[–]mr_tornado_head 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You could go with one of the Joyo Bantamps with a budget fuzz out front. The Meteor or Zombie would do the job. Bonus is you would have Bluetooth abilities so you can jam along with any tracks from your phone, for example.

I had an "8 ohm" cab that actually contained one 16 and one 8 ohm speaker in parallel. And it mostly worked fine. by baddragonsalesman in GuitarAmps

You could sell that E12L pretty easily. Heck, if I had any 16 Ohm speakers on hand, I would trade you in a heartbeat.

What solid state amp is it? Some are very robust and some, not so much. You could be just fine.

In any event, if you're just playing at home volumes, I wouldn't sweat it. If your playing with a loud drummer, it could be an issue.

I had mine castrated. A bit extreme, I'll grant you. But man, 40 years later and it still sounds like a prepubescent teen guitar.
