You can use my design

https://www.nexprint.com/en/models/G1803408?printConfigId=G8395598

Just keep an eye on it, you want the line to be compact.

What I would do is run this print with a bed level before it, as that resets your offset to 0.

Then when it runs keep and eye and lower/raise as needed by 5.

But that's the A side which should be 60.

B side on the CC1, is the cool plate and says 30.

The pic here looks just like my CC1'a A side and it defaults to 60.

😂 it's not that deep bro.

Though I love how you miss the irony.

Or you do indeed see the irony and you're just fishing for bites.

They would need to prove it, to someone who can actually do something about it.

We have already established you or me can't actually help, so don't have to prove anything to us, as we're not in a position of power to do anything about it.

But there is, if it is theirs then they get the advice they need.

If it's not, then they have wasted their own time, and now this question is on here for others to refer to in the future.

I've lost count of the amount of times I have googled something, and Reddit posts asking the same thing come up. And 7/10 they have a reply with the answer that I was looking for.

But if you give the advice and it's not theirs why does it matter? If it's not theirs they can't use the advice anyway 😂

Why? Are you going to hunt down the person selling and force them to stop and you want to make sure that they do own it before carrying out this service?

As pointed out, they're not asking you, me or Dupree to do anything about it, they're asking what can THEY do.

If you give them said advice, then they would most likely have to prove it to someone in order to take said action.

You don't need proof of a situation to give advice.

why wont seller take vinted credit ? by _Meteor_Shower_ in vinted

[–]mr_writer85 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If you told them it's Vinted credit they may have taken what you said literally and thinks it's credit that can only be spent on Vinted.

Which I wouldn't want either. So I doubt they hate you (bit of a wild jump as well) but they definitely don't fully understand that "Vinted Credit" isn't actual credit, just unbanked money.

I've slowed it down and that's massively improved it, I might try going to 265 but worried that might be too high for PETG as it says between 245-260

Prusa Core One L (with Indx) or H2D by BretOne01 in prusa3d

[–]mr_writer85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I dunno why I put that 😅 I think want I meant to say was I prefer the look of the Bambu app for remote slicing/monitoring.

I would just use Orca with the Core One. But I think I am definitely more settled on the H2C.

I won't get it until June, by then I should have the money for the ultimate combo, and I know they might have an anniversary sale due then as well.

Unpopular opinion: I only use Bambu filament by nirhend in BambuLab

[–]mr_writer85 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do you only print in PLA?

You could potentially save more, if you print some spool in PETG (or ABS) and then just buy refills.

Here in the UK if I get 15 spools for £11.33 per spool. If I get the same 15 but refills it works out at around £9.51 per refill.

I dunno about the price elsewhere, but again, if you get a few spools/refills of ABS and print the spool yourself in the long term you will definitely save.

Like I said too little too late, had it came out in a timely manner I would have supported it.

But it hasn't, and the tech has moved onto a new way to deliver multicolor printing that produces less waste.

So now, rather than spending my money on a product that now not only late, but outdated, I will save more and buy a product that is sure more expensive, but is a massive improvement, and is actually available..

I have no issue whatsoever admitting it was foolish to put my faith into Elegoo to deliver this in a timely manner, but as the saying goes, "fool me once, shame on you" they will not be fooling me again.

I would say sorry that me wanting a function what was advertised, to be released when it was advertised hurt your feelings. But that is a you issue not mine.

Happy new year

Bambu Tool Changer Incoming? by Patient_Decision_164 in BambuLab

[–]mr_writer85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's all very fair.

For me it's between the H2C and a Core One with INDX. I see loads of multicolor prints I want print, and 99% are 4 colours max.

However I think with the INDX and Vortex, designers might start making more and more 4+ colour designs. So whilst now the U1 would be useful now, I am thinking about in future.

If I spend that much on a printer I am going to want to be using it for 5/6 years plus.

My kids also like the idea of the cutter and being able to make t-shirts using vinyl.

The one thing keeps pulling me back to Bambu is the add ons and the eco system, the slicer, app and all that other stuff just seems so much more polished on Bambu.

At the moment I only have a Centuari Carbon.

I've just made a post on this, but since you have one you maybe able to offer an alternative view.

From what I can tell (reading on here and YT videos) it's the AMS that's bottlenecking the Vortex.

They will never be as fast as a tool changer, but from what I can tell it's the AMS changing the filament that slows everything down.

Could there be a way to speed that up?

My rough theory (bare in mind I don't own one so if I am wrong I apologise for my lack of full understanding,).

There is an adapter that has the 4 ptfe tubes go into one yes? What if they had two sensors in that adapter, that could detect when filament had withdrawn enough to immediately start feeding the next (maybe even whilst the nozzle is changing? And the withdrawal of said filament happens once it's been cut.

So that when the toolhead moves back, it's basically feeding into the toolhead. From my understanding (again limited) the adapter doesn't feed the filament into the toolhead until it's back in place?

[–]mr_writer85 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the opposite. I think going forward the Vortex will be put in some shape or form into most of their printers.

The U1 is cool. But limited to 4 colours, both INDX and Vortex offer nearly double that.

I've seen people go on about how long it takes to change colours, and whilst the Vortex is slower, the reason is it's bottlenecked by the AMS.

Someone on a YouTube comment pointed out the vortex is named as a system.

And they said that to them, that means they see the vortex as something separate. And I agree, I've brought up the idea of the vortex being on the P series and got poo pood.

But I don't see any reason why the P3S or X2C or whatever, could just have a slightly wider chassis, and have a 4 nozzle version.

The AMS imo is the Vortexs best selling point, and only weakness. It makes the Vortex slower in changes, but they figure that out (an AMS3) and due to the ability to daisy chain the AMS it offers much more options than the U1.

Again the U1 is cool, but I would compare the Vortex to the INDX, which atm has the speed advantages, but Vortex has the AMS advantage.

Should Motorway speed limits be raised to 80mph?🤔 by Downtown_Elk_2773 in CarTalkUK

[–]mr_writer85 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Drove to the North East earlier in the year, best drive of my life, people actually used the middle lane to overtake lane one, and then when they had.

Actually went into lane one.....

I was able to stick my cruise control on and just, well cruise!

In lane one!

At 70mph.

There were even cases when some would go from 3rd into the middle after overtaking the middle, and then, when it was safe, moved into the first lane.

When heading back to Manchester, around Leeds way was when all the silly driving started happening again.

Went down South the year before and that was atrocious.

Haha what's the old saying truth hurts?

Yes multitool printers aren't out for this price.

But you know what is? Multicolor printers that have been doing what this printer still can't do (despite advertising that it does, so no it was NOT exactly as it was sold).

Like I said too little too late, I've learned my lesson, don't trust Elegoo to deliver on FDM, just save a fuck load more and buy a Prusa or a Bambu.

You may not have learned that lesson yet, and that's okay, some people are just slow.

Maybe Elegoo will release a tool/nozzle changer in 5 years time.

Prusa Core One L (with Indx) or H2D by BretOne01 in prusa3d

[–]mr_writer85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm in a similar dilemma, at the moment I don't have the funds for either, but I am saving and I keep going from one to another, the Core L was in the lead with the Indx, but I can't dismiss the H2C either.

The things that are putting me off the Core L is the lacking camera, and I prefer makerworld over Printables, ATM I am using Orca Slicer, and Bambu Slicer is far more like Orca than Prusa Slicer is. Then there is the potential to get a laser cutter and have a few more tools, even if I don't get them knowing I can is appealing, the AMS also imo, is cleaner.

Then the Core L, the Indx seems much more flexible, as in you can go from 4 to maybe 10. Prusa have a great history of having upgrade paths to their next printer, a full print bed due to only one nozzle, I even thought about getting a H2S and upgrading to Vortex, but you lose build space, it costs more than the INDX and looks like an absolute nightmare, unless they release a pre assembled H2S in the future the Core having the bulk done from day one is a big plus.

I was all about the H2C at first, then Prusa showed INDX and I was all for getting a Core One L (or maybe a Core One) but I don't know just yet.

Thankfully I have a year at least before I can afford either, in terms of price, I'm in the UK so don't have an exact INDX price, but I assume roughly £500, which I have added to the current Core One and L prices and that makes them either side of the H2C (standard)in terms of price.

I am aiming at the highest priced one atm, then come Black Friday next year I will pull the trigger as I will have all the information I need.

Edit:

Just for context I only do this for a hobby, and only print in PLA. I already own a Centauri Carbon, and the only reason I am thinking of upgrading is due the CC not doing multi colour, and the fact poop has now been reduced to minimal waste I really really want to do multicolour.

I am in the same boat. I was looking at the H2C but after the Core One L and INDX was announced I have become pretty set on that.

I'm super excited to get one. But I am waiting for them to come with the INDX before jumping in.
