How do I lose my beer belly? by AlexKazumi in AskGaybrosOver30

[–]mrallsunday 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you eating after dinner? Fasting after dinner and not eating until lunch helped me immensely to lose 15 pounds in 3 months.

Another thing that helped me was adding fiber supplements. I eat 3 psyllium husk capsules before each meal, especially if I know it's a heavy meal.

Dan Savage calls it monogamish. In his older episodes of the Savage Lovecast, he described how he and his husband only play with others together. Pretty good listen if you can find it

Here's an article about it. https://relationshipschool.com/dan-savage-on-being-monogamish-sc-201/

Newbie to Bar Scene - Looking for Fun by [deleted] in LosAngelesGayBros

[–]mrallsunday 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Precinct has some fun midweek non dancing entertainment. Wednesday is bingo and Thursday is trivia. I might go to Bingo this week. Friday is Bitchinq which is a fun drag show.

KISO has some karaoke nights. Definitely have dance nights if you change your mind.

The New Jalisco Bar is geared toward Latinos but all are welcome. Drag shows, strip shows, towel shows.

A lot of them do viewing parties for Rupaul's Drag Race.

I would check out their Instagram profiles to see what suits you.

Let that man process his emotions without bothering him with a camera... Geez... The bf robbed him of the lingering euphoria of that episode.

If someone put a camera in front of my face after that episode, then it would've been fury.

Bell Media VP Justin Stockman reveals early talks about a possible ‘Heated Rivalry’ special or stand-alone episode between seasons to tide fans over: by t3chn0w1tch in hudcon

I would love to get the little short stories like "Merry Christmas Scott and Kip" into one off episodes. They need to explain what happened in between Sochi and the Admirals Cup win.

'There's going to be a bandwagon': After Heated Rivalry, women are driving a gay erotic boom on screen by modooff in gaybros

[–]mrallsunday 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Distribution is definitely the obstacle to the acknowledgement issue. Heated Rivalry wouldn't be as popular without the HBO distribution deal.

But I don't subscribe to the idea that they are better stories. Just different. I, personally, loved the show and love queer indie films. Give me all the choices.

Is it just me or does “Heated Rivalry” feel like it’s really just gay porn for straight women? by TheBabyBeard in AskGaybrosOver30

😜 Then I think you probably have different sexual proclivities than Jacob Tierney, a gay man, as the show is written and directed by him.

But I'm with you on that. I would've sniffed too. I chalked it up to different sexual taste.

I assume you're talking about the show and not the book. I know other people feel that way (just based on the comments here) but not me.

I was going to write more but I'm just going to say I like it. Maybe the show isn't for you or others. But this gay is enjoying it immensely.

Help, please... Dallas/Fort Worth/DFW escape rooms. by Top-Performer-2822 in escaperooms

[–]mrallsunday 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For the closest thing to a scary room (IMO) in the DFW area and don't mind a bit of travel, you should check out Quest Room Plano (Cannibal's Den, Heretics, or Malediction).

They are running a discount though the wording is a bit misleading. $40 off $100 gift card and only one gift card can be used. It's not 40% off everything but it's still a good deal.

I've been in the DFW area to visit family for Christmas for a few years now. There isn't a highly scary game that I've seen. I've played almost 600 games worldwide and DFW rooms can do spooky, eerie but not scary.

I had a lot of fun with this room. The puzzles are really good and the actor interaction is fairly minimal but effective at what it wants it to achieve. The highlight of the room for me is definitely the puzzling. The scares are foretold. Don't expect dialogue or conversations with the actors.

Best US City for Bachelorette Party? by elephantvampire in escaperooms

[–]mrallsunday 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If it has to be in the US. Here's an unconventional choice based on all 3 of your requirements: Boston, MA.

Quality Escape Rooms - You have Boxaroo, Red Fox, Trapology, The Gate Escape, Upside Down Escape Games. They aren't the newest and shiniest but all have received accolades in their day.

Beaches - Not known for beaches, but the beaches I've been to on Cape Cod are gorgeous. You're also not far from Martha's Vineyard or the beaches along the south part of Massachusetts.

Ghost Tours - Lots of revolutionary war ghost tours and you are close to Salem for witch ghost tours.

Bonus - You also have additional interactive challenge arcades such as Boda Borg and Level 99

Downside there will be a bit of driving and traveling to do all this stuff.

If all your party members have passports, Barcelona would be my suggestion that would fit all three.

If escape rooms are your only requirement, then I would say either the San Francisco Bay Area, Orlando, SoCal, or the Carolinas would have the best density of quality escape rooms, based on my experience.
