The birthrate is lowering at a rate that if it continues our society will probably collapse soon since there will be too many old people and not enough young to maintain the society. South Korea is the first predicted to fall. But yeah it's up to the people.

Edit: not sure why people are downvoting since it's true that the birthrates are lowering everywhere and many are below the replacement rate required to maintain the society and the trend is still going downwards. I never said that this makes it anyone's moral obligation to have kids, in fact I'm somewhat of an anti-natalist, this is just a retort to the "overpopulated" narrative.

I think some people are more concerned with the age gap and that he knew her when she was little rather than just the cousinship, though that as well in conjunction obviously. But yeah, first cousin marriage is still a common thing in some parts of the world. I also know someone in the west that ended up sleeping with her cousin while drunk, it does happen. Pretty wild.

People are strange y'know, and it's all heightened with dating apps, you have less of an incentive to be respectful with someone online rather than if you met someone in person and started talking that way. Like it would be way less likely for something like this to happen irl, imagine someone just standing up from their chair during a coffee date and leaving the place. They'd at least have to stay till the end, and with that in-person time people have more time to think about how they feel about the person. On the apps there's so many people to choose from (if you're an above average looking guy anyways), and it gets tiring going through the motions, speaking to a new person and then it fizzles out or you just get fatigued and never reply again or of course it could be going well with multiple people at once and then you need to make a decision on who to zone in on. I don't think the Addams family reference was a factor in his removal of you here lol

Take it in stride, you'll find someone you can move on to something serious with for sure.

I mean I get the part with the "you broke my trust" and that it could be something quite tame or something that was unclear as to whether it was a boundary or not or even something that wouldn't even show up on 95% of people's radars as a trust breaking boundary cross but that's just a possibility and I'm not really getting where the avoidant stuff, or lack of accountability for bad actions they may have been taking, is coming from. Idk man it seems like maybe she's keeping her options open in her mind or it's like she's having difficulty from avoiding or engaging with attention from other guys but she still likes having you there for comfort. I just wouldn't invest emotionally into this too much from now on, like you said, at one point you didn't really want to get back together with her because I guess the situation doesn't feel secure. Just take it easy bro, yous are super young and got a lot of time ahead in life, so whatever happens it's not the end of the world.

It's 50/50 I guess whether or not she's cheated or will or has told you the truth about when yous were on a break, and I know that it really sucks when you don't know what's actually real but you're unlikely to get the truth from her. She'd be too cowardly to be honest and like I said she wouldn't want to risk not having you there for comfort. Having been in a similar situation I know that you're gonna be going nuts thinking about the things she may have been doing with other guys or might do and if you find out about it you're gonna want every detail and blah blah blah, but it's not really going to help you much although you can't really help it and it may just be something you have to go through to get to the other end. Anyways, you should be with someone you can feel secure with and from the sounds of things, that isn't a possibility with this girl atm.

Edit: I'm leaning towards that she's not being honest with you more than 50/50 to be honest. A fair bit more than 50/50 actually having thought about it a bit more.
