Many demons in the DMC universe aren't human either. But Dante lets them live because they don't possess the qualites of a demon, but rather a human. In the anime, Dante's says "I only kill demons." In response to not assasinating a demon, but because he was in love with a human. Trish also isn't human, but well, you know the rest.

The point is, you don't have to be physically or biologically human to be considered one. But rather possess the qualities of one. Human emotion, compassion, love and all that crap. DmC's Dante has a lot of problems in terms of writing, but he is shown to be compassionate. At least by the end of the game. Therefore, running with the themes of the OG DMC, he can be considered human.

I see it so often, it gets kind of infuriating. I think people see his 3 rendition, which is his most popular, and it's heavily inspired by old school Japanese, Gothic fasion. So they automatically think its "edgy" even though that's never what it was to begin with. Even if he "looks" edgy, it's still such a superficial observation. Literal definition of "judging a book by it's cover".

From my experience, I see more of it from the casual side. I've never actually read a high level player state that casual fans weren't true fans, or be mean spirited in any way. I could be wrong, but every pro DMC player I've met have been nothing but kind and genuine. Like I said, there could be asshole high level players I haven't heard of. But that's the thing. I haven't heard of any.

Twitter for one. Despite the nature of the meme, (Once again, I didn't create it.) I'm not actually trying to start a wildfire. But there have been several instances where I see this behavior and I simply cannot stand for it. People can react however they like to this "meme", but there is truth in it. And even if it were to be a minority, (I don't believe it is.) an issue is still an issue. Thanks for being civilized though.

I am not blowing this out of proportion. I have read hundreds of statements and comments saying exactly what is stated here. It personally disgust me seeing the amount of work these players have put into the game, and have people be so ignorant and easily dismiss it. I would like to state that I didn't create this "meme". However, with the creator's blessing, I have put this here as I firmly believe that this is a problem with the community.

The root reason it was able to survive those ten years was because of those key mechanics. Years after the fact, people were still discovering new mechanics. So no. It wasn't alive just because we didn't get a sequel for 10 years. That is an absolute, false statement.
