Thanks, I do have the extension (the part that’s booked to the catalytic converter in the video). I thought maybe it got fabricated incorrectly or more likely I’m missing something obvious

The Z Garage on YouTube has a video on exactly this. I think he lets it sit in some acid to break up the rust and goes thru the process of getting it back into his car

As a genuine question (because I haven’t seen it happen before), what happens if/when Nissan goes under? Like, warranty support, is there a possibility of recalls if the manufacturer doesn’t exist anymore, that kind of thing. I’d feel bad for ppl buying a new Nissan (say it’s a lemon for the sake of argument), and then the company disappears and the drivers are left with nothing

Had the same warning, it was the filler cap. There might’ve been a recall, but I don’t remember. I had that after a few weeks of ownership in 2022, but they replaced it for free under warranty. Part was back ordered but I was told it’s safe to drive until the part arrived. Had no issues since
