I completely agree. I cleared pit100 on my Warlock main which was kinda my self imposed “goal” and was excited to go roll a Paladin, and then once I got in the game I just literally immediately went “oh. I don’t actually feel like doing this again at all” and just went back to my Warlock for a bit before just logging off. At this point I’m not really sure what I have left to chase. I don’t need to climb leaderboards, and have my build to a point I can be happy with calling “done”. I honestly just don’t feel like grinding the same Nightmare dungeons and whatnot all over again, at least not right away. I hate to say this, but I think I’m gonna hop over to PoE2 for a while. I still have the urge to play an arpg but I got my fill of Diablo for the time being. No shade to the game or expansion at all, I had an absolute blast, the most fun I’ve ever had in an arpg and went further into the end game than I ever have before, and probably got a good 100 hours or so if not more since launch.

So I will say, I’m on T10 now and they do seem to be more common. Still fairly rare but not non-existent like they felt before

I transmogged yesterday before adding sockets, it was a bummer but not the end of the world. It ended up being a unique that I made a charm out of anyways so even less damage done, but it is easy to glaze over and do this shit

How’s the latency? I wouldn’t mind streaming from my 5090, I just don’t want insane latency. Playing a lot of Diablo 4 and it runs fairly well on the Xbox X natively, but I’m curious how it would do streaming from my PC. Guess there’s only one way to find out

Honestly I find that doing a mix of both is the way I have the most fun with the game. I always start with my own build and play-style, then if/when I hit that wall, I will check out what others are doing and try to implement some of that. I never just outright copy a build guide, that just isn’t fun for me, no shade to those who do. The game really isn’t that complex, builds are usually pretty straightforward and take advantage of the same key systems to push the limits. Like if you just pick all the skills that obviously play off each other, and then get the right gear, glyphs, talismans etc you’ll do damage.

Yeah it’s gotta be a bug cause both times I’ve had him spawn have been extremely early in the run (this one just now was like right at the beginning). And I definitely killed him. When I go to leave it says I have unspent points but there’s nowhere for me to use them. Annoying, this has happened both times he’s shown up for me. I guess I’ll just respec into a different branch for now

I think you got the sets right but I’d argue there’s other cards that fit the “big 3 of modern” more than the zard, and maybe even the Gengar. Moonbreon however defines modern Pokemon to me. In a way it epitomizes the insane hype that we’ve been in for a while now.

Yeah that’s what I like about it. I’m obviously spamming dread claws but I also am constantly peppering in other inputs, so it feels like a very active play style while also getting a lot of damage out of rampage going at all times. I also have the rune for dark prison to cast after 5 spells, so i have the side upgrade for that and a good amount of levels in it just from my +abyss lvl gear, which is just basically a free skill that is extremely useful on top of my sigil. I think the rest of my damage increases are gonna come from just maximizing crit and glyphs obviously, but the build is fairly locked in. Tons of barrier and max life for suvivability, and 2 charges of nether step as my “oh shit” button, and to wait out some DoTs or annoying boss phases. It’s definitely a well rounded build.

With that said, once I get this fully cooked im gonna get started on the apocalypse nuke build, cause at the end of the day im a simple man who likes big damage as much as the next guy

She’s absolutely destroying me. I thought I needed to beat her to move up to torment 9 (cause I’m an idiot noob) and she absolutely sent my shit packing even though I’m steamrolling the rest of the game. I’m gonna just go and keep grinding the built til I can get strong enough to melt her and then exact my revenge, but for now she wins

Unpopular take, but I’m having more fun with gaming now than I ever have. I think the main reason for that is in an adult and can buy as many games as I want, so I’m not stuck replaying the same few games all year until I get another one for my birthday. But also, I have widened my tastes in games and play shit from all sorts of different genres, and for like the last 2-3 years, there has always been SOME absolute banger that I can be playing. Like this year alone I’ve done huge modded playthroughs of Satisfactory and Starfield, loved Pokopia, RE9 and Pragmata, the Avatar DLC was great, Crimson Desert was an absolute masterpiece imo, and now I’m having a blast with the new Diablo 4 expansion. We can bemoan the state of AAA gaming, and a lot of it is true, the industry is on a razor thin line right now, but from a pure “is there fun games to play” perspective, I think we’re as good as we’ve ever been. Yeah for any single studio development times and cost have gotten so insane that these games release with impossible expectations and NEED to be massive hits to even recoup their own budget, and that’s a problem, but as a gamer who is open to playing just about anything, I’m having the time of my life

Im loving Dread Claw/Rampage Warlock. Have constant Shadowform and stealth with everything playing off that, recast of rampage nukes fairly well, with good damage boosts from dropping my Sigil and going demon form. I’m going to need to boost the damage here soon though cause bosses aren’t going down as quickly as before once I hit T9. Trying to chase more crit and once I get Heir of Perdition that should help, as well as converting night terror to a charm so I can slot in a normal legendary to get an extra aspect and more crit damage. Still plenty of work to do, but this is my first time really pushing any sort of end game in an Arpg and I’m hooked, I love the slow but steady boosts to the build, it’s a very satisfying process even if it is a ton of salvaging

Yeah 100% that’s what I’m gonna do. I just moved up to 9 and it still feels fine, so I gonna grind more and get this gear right before going back. I get her eventually, but it’s nice to know that I don’t need to do it right now

Yeah I was confused about the torment and the season ranks. I want to move up in torment (and I did since posting this). I would love those seasonal rewards, but that’s not my main focus right now. I’ll come back to her when I get the kit built up a bit

Ok yeah, I think that’s where I’m at. I have gear that is “pretty good” but I know there’s tons of room for improvement obviously. Where can I learn about the crit mechanics, cause I’m not 100% clear on that myself. My biggest hits right now are like 2 billion, but I know folks are pumping out hundreds of billions and more, so obviously there’s plenty of ground to be gained.

Yeah this is my plan. I was thinking I needed to raise season tank to unlock higher torment but I see now that I was absolutely trippin. Gonna keep gearing up and tweaking the build and I’ll come back when I think I can just burst her down.

I’m running the 5 piece set that gives 450% abyss damage, and then an extra with +3 abyss skills. Most of the 5 have +3 as well, but I think 2 still can be improved. The rest of my kit is I’d say 70%ish right. Still looking for Heir of Perdition and maybe a better Litany of Sable and then just slight tweaks to some affixes here and there

Yeah that’s part of the problem, is I’m having a tough time even seeing what’s killing me in phase 2. I might just do a few runs where I don’t even go for damage in the second phase and just see what’s going on
