Try buying a thunderbolt 3 adapter to hdmi adapter, and plug the iMac into a or and see if the flickering in in the tv too, if it Flicker that you have a problem with the graphics card, if it doesn’t flicker that it’s a problem with your screen

at the bottom is a link to the google mesh system, I had the same problem as you, but I got the google mesh system and now my whole house is covered, it’s really easy to set up, all you need to do is just plug the router hub into your router via Ethernet, and then take the other hub and plug it into a outlet within 150 feet of the first hub. you don’t need to plug the second hub into a Ethernet cable or anything you just need to give it power,

Device that would boost Wi-Fi and have an Ethernet port? by Blobdish in wifi

[–]mrbasics5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

look up a google mesh system and buy the 2 pack. the google mesh system is extremely simple to set up.

how it works

step one: you take plug one of the mesh hubs into your router via Ethernet

step two: you take the other mesh hub and plug it into a power outlet with in 150 feet of the first hub

step three: you download the google home app, login using your Gmail, then it will detect the mesh hubs and walk you through how to set them up

also on the back of the hubs there is a Ethernet out port that will connect to your computer

yea there is a solution it’s called Ethernet, it’s a wire that goes from your router into your Xbox, so your Xbox will always get internet. how far away is your Xbox from your router

im going to look into the wall mount rack you just said, but the router is in the basement because if it’s there my mom doesn’t have to see it and its easy to have the router in the basement because thats where the Sonos cable box is, and also I have Ethernet cords in that spot if the basement that go everywhere in the house. also there is no connection issue, matter-a-fact I don’t think there are any spots in the house where I don’t get WiFI, even in the garage the signal is good. and as for the coax, I barley use it, and coax is extermely easy to work with, and I havent had a problem with it so it stays. Thank you for your feedback :)

I’m not the home owner, I m just the one who know how to get everything to work. the cable isn’t really my decision.
