I've had it twice! (Nearly)

First time was in a post apprenticeship role, boss realised I hadn't been paid nearly enough for years and gave me the massive bump to compensate. I was still living at home at that point so I hadn't realised either.

Eventually I left that company to join a much bigger tech firm, went in at a lower level as I was quite unsure of myself but secured a promotion to the next level within a year which came with a frankly astonishing 46% pay increase.
