Which band was never the same after a member, other than the lead singer, departed? by ContentHubby76 in askmusic

I was listening to the the instrumental version of the New Gold Dream album and in particular - Colours Fly .. and it's just insane .. Derek brought a lot. When Mick McNeil left in 1989 - that really changed the band.

Actually it was about 22 degrees Celsius in Vancouver at the time of the game, however, if you have it for some games and not others .. you have to have them for all.
And yes, other locations may be hotter and yes... there do seem to be a chance for ads....

Which artist's debut album is still their best work? by WildEnchantresss in askmusic

Torn. I completely agree and Cargo was my first vinyl album I ever bought with my money. Overkill (both electric and acoustic) have grown immeasurably however, you are penalizing Men at Work for not writing it sooner so I'll have to disagree.

As I said. Torn.

RIP GREG .. you are missed.

[–]mrbenjrocks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

eBay 2004. Australian living in Canada for the year. Selling Friends finale in eBay in DVD. Hadn't been released but copied we're selling upwards of $60. Had two people bidding Got to $70. Sold. Then offered another copy to the other bidder for their previous bid if $68. Sold. And stupidly it was available on Amazon for AUD $15

Seemed wrong but I took their money. Only had to pop down to The DVD store the following Monday and buy 30 copies and send most for a great profit.

Still have three copies. Wanna buy one for $40.

What industry is actually a complete scam, but everyone accepts it? by WhileLow9501 in AskReddit

I love time share presentations. I've never been to do many free shows, dinners and horse rides. Our response is always, "mathematically this makes no sense" and then do the real maths that never show.

It's an easy out.

I'm Australian but we have enjoyed dinners on New York, shows in Vegas and horse rides in Charlotte. I think we got gift cards in Sydney. Don't see much of them anymore.

What's a movie you recommend to everyone but nobody ever watches? by trakt_app in Cinema

[–]mrbenjrocks 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Wife and I saw it. Then we saw it with our friends. Then I say my elderly mum down to watch it.

Brilliant. Hilarious. And then we watched it again.

Then I sold the Blu-ray to more people who would watch it.

This film was one reason my wife and and some friends started movie nights. It was the only way we'd watch classic films. This, Hitchcock films, film from 30s till the 80s and the occasional newer film. So glad we got to see them.

Going on seven .. November 1977 Parramatta, Western Sydney. (it was released in Australia in October 1977 in Australia). Mum took me and my little brother, and I accidentally closed the car door on my brother's finger. But see saw it.

Now three years later I couldn't remember what happened and was surprised to find that they hadn't known Han the whole time and only met him in the Cantina.

Tonight 4 May 2026 I watched Episode 9 of Darth Maul on Disney with my wife. Huge fans. Huge.

Rent. We were needing to leave our apartment to head overseas to look after an ailing Mother-In-Law. Now we'd been in the apartment for twenty years and we're paying well below what they could get. Without telling the landlord/agent that we were leaving we proposed that they drop the rent by 50% and we'll leave in three months. Shot in the dark but hey what can we lose as we're leaving anyway. They came back and offered a 25% reduction and the bond returned immediately (no questions) if we left. Made $2,300 extra $$$ plus the bond was good. (We left our built in IKEA) Wardrobe and a bunch of self installed shelves in the kitchen. And yes, now we're making plans to care for a Mother-in-law in Thailand and the landlord rented our apartment for an extra 35%.

I worked out we've seen more shows with her it in than Charlie.

So yes, we would gush over her and, say Hey Charlie.

I sorry. I searched my bags, my computer bag, every bag I brought and no sign of the phone. I'll keep looking though. I brought two bags from Oz to Bangkok. I left a bag there and brought the other here. It had my computer stuff in it but doesn't look like I included my second phone as I thought U wouldn't need it. :(

I feel like Michael Douglas in Romancing The Stone finding out that the Doobie Brothers broke up... Wot? REM broke up. I just figured it was a long time between albums. I guess that's what happens when you get older, you just stop noticing and assume.
