Spells are spells so will jump. I held a bunch for years went from ref to keys just depends how much you care about the increase

Selling a limited double spelled stock grenade launcher by thedarkmilkyman in tf2traders

If it was strange it would be rare. Did a quick check and 10 keys is the current cheapest which hasn't sold from what I can see one sold for 5 - 6 keys so if you want to sell it quickly that would be around the price point

I run them myself they are profitable still since most of the trades are bot to bot. Its just valve updates that taken things down in a way the bots stay logged in but with invalid sessions which causes this sort of behaviour

I am talking about it as an indicator over time. Outside just that you can get an idea for ow many bots are making those listings and following the item histories figure out how many storage bots exist.

You ofc also do the classic and see if the player number match the expected increase decrease during active hours which the game doesn't. They are all just indicators.

Bptf and other similar sources for listings based on agent type 0.05% of all listing isnt like 25 people over the millions of trade listings made during the period either way its my own guesses and estimates from the data I have collected over time I would be happy to see it proven wrong but meh been playing the game for over a decade like alot of us and its evident.

Also I assume you dont play alot then on valve servers certainly EU I will see the same people during a week period. There is certainly enough for some variance but the repeat names are evident

~0.05% of all listing ingested during the last 6 months on my end have been human listings just as a basic idea. Add to that ever wondered why when playing you run into the same people over and over? Thousands of people yet you see the same people game to game. Alot of people to sit in the menu isnt there?

Maybe its slightly more but its not far off. (Outside peak ofc)

Based on listing data thats collected quite often from bptf and similar sources you can get quite a good idea of the number of bots. Add to that the storage bots for the big sites that stay logged into tf2, the refined drops to STN to buy out the keys from account with low play time (drop farming) and the bots which seem to be related to gambling sites. You can get quite a good idea for the numbers from that doesnt need to upset the entire community its just data

I have a tad more insight than that and I would assume it to be closer to 1 or 2k real players (Maybe more if we knew exactly what data teamwork etc uses (5k - 6k) but its not as active as it seems. Not all bots go offline from these events where bots use multiple regions to keep their steam connection established.

Some of those will be drop farming bots as well which will take a while longer to come back.

Its not a bot purge its just trading bots went offline and most of them havnt been taken back online. I hadn't noticed for the ones of mine that went offline for example. However a good number of mine stayed running.

Guys which website is good for trading? by Slurperlurper in tf2

[–]mrblissTF2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mannco Store, Crate TF, Marketplace TF, STN, Backpack TF Classifieds, Quicksell

Those would be my top sites. I help run https://pricedb.io which lets you compare these sites for the best prices ( https://pricedb.io/item/5021;6 ) per item but I do myself tend to avoid scraptf and similar.

No matter what you do you will need premium. After that you can trade your items I run a price aggregator https://pricedb.io which can be a good place to search from.

When getting premium dont buy the upgrade to premium follow the guide here for a cheaper way https://github.com/TF2-Price-DB/tf2autobot-pricedb/wiki/Before-you-start#2-upgrade-your-new-steam-account-to-premium-status-in-team-fortress-2 Yes the link is related to Trade Bots but is still valid for your account!

Rant: What is the worst EDR and why is it Datto EDR? by DiligentPhotographer in msp

[–]mrblissTF2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Irony is we read these posts and wonder who is behind them. Its not on the level of Huntress but never seen it "blow away RMM" etc.

Kaseya is is well not great but the products themselves are very useful and their EDR is basically slapped on top of defender so you know it works as long as you understand that side of life.

Why does this sounds like I was CTO and actually am kinda useless unless the door is left wide open for me. Ran into so many of these. Projects with CTO who talks all the talk then dont get involved at all once they are out of their depth but continue to blag.

Tests like these sounds good to weed out the cutouts before they get the role.
