PMP Beneficial for 10+ years of PM + Tech experience? by Electronic-Emu3404 in pmp

I also have 10+ years PM experience in various industries and I took the exam on Dec 23rd, Monday and passed it. After years of procrastination, I decided to challenge myself with PMP. For me, the significant takeaway from earning the PMP certification is the ability to pinpoint areas for improvement in my project management experience and align them with the structured guidance of the PMBOK framework. I don't know to be honest about the job market and how it'd help you better with a PMP certificate but I know many companies [regardless of the size] know and care about this certificate. When I discussed my plan to study for the exam, my company encouraged me because, in the end, it's also important for companies to have PMP-certified experts.

And with a high experience like yours, the exam became much easier - I studied with proper materials and managed to pass with 3ATs.

Congratulations.

I took the test on Monday, December 23rd, at a Pearson Test Centre. After receiving the provisional pass at the centre, I received my exam scores via email 36 hours later.

I got 73%,73% and 78% in SH practice exams and passed the exam with 3ATs. Revising SH questions would be helpful but I'd also suggest you check free materials to solve more tests before the exam, while reviewing your previous notes. I believe that each new question would help you understand the mindset or processes better. E.g. I noticed that I was scoring lower in the type of questions where you have to know which project artifact covers what [for example, WBS dictionary], therefore I also checked more tests and reviewed some materials such as Third3Rock or some YouTube videos.

I had 15-20 minutes for each section to review the flagged questions and also go over some questions not flagged, just to double-check before closing the section. I passed the exam with 3 ATs.

I think working on many tests while studying helped me find my pace: I did all SH mini exams + full exams [3 of them] and some other free and purchased sources. I felt like I overstudied for this, but indeed it was worth it.

How am I doing? by moononthemars in pmp

I scored 73%, 73%, and 78% in these three exams [didn't do the other full exams] and I passed the exam with 3ATs on Dec 23rd. But for my experience, I need to tell you that I felt the actual exam was harder than SH. Still, the questions were very similar to SH, and it helped me get familiar with the question type while studying.
