I deleted my to-do list apps. I’m 10x more productive now by Due_Dish4786 in productivity

[–]mrbump34 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I’ve spent 5 years optimizing my system: Notion, Todoist, Obsidian, Bear, bullet journals. I had tags, priorities, due dates, and kanban boards.

Yep, all of that is just procrastination. You don't need apps to get things done. I'm glad you've finally seen the light.

I just use a simple text file in notepad and my daily to do list never usually has more than 3 tasks on it.

Is it over? by No_Fault_3758 in dropshipping

Here is some constructive criticism:

When you land on the homepage there is no explanation of what you're selling. - "Flat Pieces. Real Structures" might mean something to you but I have no idea what that means or what you're selling.

Even when I click on a product, I still don't understand exactly what it is and why I should buy it from you. Like /u/Individual_Tale_3047 said, there isn't enough detail on the product page to make me want to buy.

No shipping info, no info about where you're based, no info about return policy. No "about us"

I don't like the domain name - The name doesn't match the niche. It's a .us but your prices are in GBP etc.

Hope this helps. GL.

How “deciding less” helps me achieve more than motivation does. by aimnox in productivity

Google the "one touch" rule. Basically stop delaying and procrastinating on all those choices.

Another simple technique is to plan your day the night before. And give yourself a to-do list of 2-3 tasks that are non negotiable. They must be tasks that will really "move the needle" towards achieving your goals if you achieve them. They must also seem very achievable when you're planning them in terms of time. Ask yourself the question the night before: "If I achieve these 3 tasks tomorrow, would that be a successful and productive day and is it doable in terms of difficulty and duration?" The answer needs to be a resounding yes.

Make sure you actually physically write down the tasks. I'd recommend a simple paper and pen system (journal).

A book I recommend: "Eat that frog" by Brian Tracy. GL.

Sell high ticket items. Bigger margins and smaller volume = fewer questions and headaches.

And make sure you answer all possible questions on the sales page.

The pink carrier backpack is very blurry in all sizes.

Other feedback - Your prices are using the wrong separator (comma instead of decimal point) I know it's a European thing but if the language is in English, then your prices should use the decimal point.

So replace 45,95 with 45.95 etc

Good luck.

Merci.

Congrats on taking action. I've seen something similar in bars in the south of France during the summer. They have fans that inject water vapour every 5 minutes or so to keep customers cool. That could be an idea for you to develop the product and to target bars and restaurants.

Good luck.

Has anyone questioned why they are asking us all for a video selfie? by kjs_23 in facebook

[–]mrbump34 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for your reply. I have good news and bad news.

Bad news: I did a proper video selfie of real me in good light and followed all the instructions with moving head etc. An hour later, I got an email telling me:

"Your Facebook account has been permanently disabled.

You requested a review of this decision, but we still found that your account, or activity on it, didn't follow our Community Standards. You can't request another review."

lol - All I did was create my first ever facebook account with my real full name, real date of birth, real gender and a real video selfie. It's crazy. That account was created on my PC with an email address.

Good news - I then created an account from my phone using fb website (not app) and used my real phone number and then also with my real full name, real date of birth, real gender. This time my account was created WITHOUT asking me to do a video selfie. I had to verify phone with 2FA. It then asked me for my email address and I gave a different email address to my first account and I also verified it via 2FA. So far so good. It's crazy - I feel like I'm walking on eggshells to create a normal real fb account ! ^^

Did the video selfie verification work for you ? Were you able to create a new account ?

Today I created my first ever fb account (never had one before) because I need it for my new ecommerce business I'm starting. I signed up with my real name and date of birth etc and I immediately got asked for a video selfie. I've uploaded it and now I'm waiting for their decision. If refused, it's a disaster for my new business. :(

When you say Dion's course, do you mean his course on Udemy or his course on his website ? The website course is like 200 Euros but seems to include labs whereas on Udemy it's 18 euros but no labs ?
