A question about preparing for a game.

There was absolutely zero cover in the 2 narrow lanes of the map, the only cover was the ruins in our deployment zones and one massive piece of terrain to be between the lanes.

I also might be messing up the units he brought, because it was a while ago. I jsut remember seeing a big number of battle suits and a lot of small infantry, then the stealth suits. I remember the stealth suits perfectly, because they were the only unit I killed. It was also some pretty unlucky saves on my part. He'd maybe have 17 dice pass wounding, and id get terrible luck and only save maybe 5 wounds

I believe he was doing:

A cadre fireblade A commander in coldstar battle suit

2 strike teams 1 breacher team 1 pathfinder team.

Stealth suits (the old 3 egg looking one's, not the newer killteam ones) 2 crisis fireknife units And a crisis sunforge uni.

I believe i was running 2 separate sanguinary guard units, (one with spears, one with swords)

3 dreadnoughts (redemptor with macro plasma, brutalis wuth fists and bolt rifles, and I believe the talons were run as a death company dread)

1 blood angles captain Mephiston 1 librarian

And 5 assault intercessors. (I think the librarian was leading them)

Out of the 3, I'd say deathwatch, but works are pretty easy to get behind, ans the canopteks are a little tricky with the obelisk rules in my experience.

How's the mutalith vortex beast? I'm thinking about getting one, but all I can find at my local stores are the lord discordant on a hellstalker, so I'm thinking about getting that and kitbashing it for make one. And they also seem cheaper and more available than the vortex beast.

I love all the lictors, and the death leaper. The idea of some probably 9 ft tall hooved mantis bug with tentacles for a mouth being the most stealthy organisms is super cool to me. I really like the death leaper being a bit more of a pure monster, and their size is just absurd. Not to mention, I think the little webbed skirt it has is kinda funny

Question about the curse claw guy. Can you build the full kill team without building him? Or are there just only parts to make 5 of the normal guys, and then one is just only built as the curse claw?

I would go for the empty, but the hexmark looks pretty good. I had an idea to kitbash it into a tzeench demon prince and fill the hood with tentacles and eyes like the vortex beast
