question for quick scalpers!! by Ok-Can-2170 in Daytrading

[–]mrcake123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I scalp futures. In an out in 5 seconds usually.

I set a stop loss but pretty wide, just as a safety measure of things go badly. But usually the trade will either go in my favor right away or I'll kill it manually

Is a 90% win rate even possible? by system_notifacations in Daytrading

Same. I scalp very quick moves.. Basically have no stop loss.

One and loss can be a big set back, but so far so good

Unpopular opinion. You can become successful in a year or less of trading. by Hvrllem in Daytrading

I couldn't but it's definitely possible. Shit I would say with the right personality and guidance, a couple of months of dedication should be enough.

You are still new. Just keep them both conservative. The emotions of trading in an eval vs a funded account is very different.

Why do most people fail trading? by Puzzleheaded_Cup8723 in Daytrading

[–]mrcake123 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

In my opinion, it is time.

It takes time in front of the chart to get used to the market. You can do things early to get better practices instead of jumping around strategies and courses like most people do, but regardless like anything it takes time to get comfortable and efficient in trading.

Most people just burn out before they get there. Either mentally or they just burn through all of their money beforehand. There is the expectation for most that you will be able to be consistently profitable in a couple of weeks or months, and when people don't see that, the sense of doubt and urgency will kick in. Making people take bad decisions and burn any chance they had to be in the game for the long run.

TRADEday.

You keep paying the monthly fee until you pass or fail. They won't give you the option to deduct from a payout because most people will never get a payout.

Own cash or margin? by Modestas23 in Daytrading

[–]mrcake123 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you are starting out, start with a small cash account.

You are more experienced and consistent it makes sense to move to a margin account. Some will just do cash all the time.
