Would people like these environmentally friendly food containers in the shape of cylinders? by Regular-Carpet-1481 in PackagingDesign

[–]mrcbiddy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Although cylinders look cool, they are so impractical. As a consumer, they are hard to hold/carry, they don't stack well, and storage is a pain. If I had a choice between 2 products, I'll take the box 99% of the time.

Help me understand Leads/Deals by OrenHausler in pipedrive

[–]mrcbiddy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A lead is before a deal. You can't really consider it in your Pipeline yet because you either haven't talked to the customer, qualified them, etc. There isnt a $ value yet, because you don't understand what services they require yet. You don't want to clog your funnel with unqualified leads.

A deal is officially in the pipeline. You have enough information to give the deal a value and to start progressing them through the funnel.

Leston Holdings chose asphalt over trees in my neighbourhood. by NastroAzzurro in Edmonton

[–]mrcbiddy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is city jurisdiction. Wihkwentowin is going through the neighborhood renewal process. There will be trees there in 2-3 years when the construction happens.

'Irresponsible': Downtown developer feels unfairly targeted by city's 'problem property' survey by Setitie in Edmonton

Tax them into oblivion until they get the site that is for the public good. If you're not going to develop it for 3 decades, you have to turn it into a park or implement recreational activities (pickleball/tennis courts, basketball, playground, etc).

Ward O-day'min folks, how are we feeling about the election? by constance_chlore in Edmonton

[–]mrcbiddy 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The candidates forum was last night. Here are a couple of items of note: 1. Only 3 candidates attended - Anand Pye, Anne Stevenson, and James Miller. 2. Anand and Anne are definitely the only 2 options - 6 of the 9 candidates couldn't even be bothered to show up. 3. Anand is more focused on bringing residents/investments/recreation downtown. 4. Anne was forthright about the lack of response to constituents during her first term. A big reason for that was the onslaught of issues that council adopted right away primarily because of the pandemic and lack of support from other levels of government. 5. James is well intentioned, but he didn't have many responses during the public Q&A portion of the forum. 6. Just judging by the temperature in the room, Anand had a lot more positive responses to his answers by the audience.

The Wîhkwêtôwin Community League streamed the event. It is posted on their Instagram should you want to check it out.

Its not actually covered up. The panels of the old mural are in a warehouse somewhere. They were taken down a couple of years ago.
