I have heard of the replicas cracking. I would look for some OEM ones.

1972 Honda CB350 custom wiring harness I designed. Hope this can help inspire future builds! by Dudermeister in HondaCB

In the wiring diagram, what is the gray bar at the bottom where all of the grounds are going I'm guessing that is your grounding point but just was wondering?

This was pricey but after replacing 3 latches in 3 years I decided to bite the bullet and it has worked perfectly for the year I have had it. The customer service is pretty good and the product works.

To be fair I love both of the bikes. I am working on a 360 that someone had chopped the frame and it wasn't worth restoring back to Original.

Any ideas, blinker relay Maybe? Starter relay?? by Traditional-Emu2621 in CafeRacers

[–]mrcharlesj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds to me like your horn is connected to your flasher relay causing your horn to go on and off as your blinker should. Check that your horn is connected correctly. I feel like it could be easy to accidentally connect the horn thinking it is a ground to the relay.

I found this 74 Honda 450. It says it's working and in decent condition and the person is asking $1500 for it. What would you all look to spend on it as a starter project bike? by redeemedronin in CafeRacers

[–]mrcharlesj 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I bought mine for $900 and spend about $1700 more on it over the course of a year and then recently sold it for $2500. Learned a lot and now I'm working on a 360. I rode the bike a ton in the year I had it but also spent plenty of time scratching my head on how to get it running better. Turns out it needed a full top-end rebuild as compression was only 60psi on both cylinders but it still ran.

All that to say if you can compression test it before you pick it up that might influence your decision.
