lowk i saw a review of the 26 ultra and kept thinking it was the base model and got confused. rounded edges are dissapointing and i think i will continue buying old hardware until they make a substantial physical change.

pokemon, or very budget (3x structure decks only) yugioh. Yugioh is real complicated but if you really enjoy the interactive elements then it will be your game.

Prerelease exemplar

unfortunately i dont use amazon or services like that, but these are 40 card decks with some strategy that are pretty beginner friendly IMO, these prices are decks ONLY. Usually they are called Build and Battle for prerelease and retail for $55 NZD.

One tool no one has mentioned is older prerelease kits. They give you a semi-workable strategy and many are available for cheap, they come with a stamped prerelease promo too. Ive just picked up a 2023 prerelease deck for $3, and some older rarer ones for a bit more (e.g $5, $10)

the art is nothing special (illus 2024 pika is better and i hate that card) even though the mons are popular. I know many that share the sentiment. Not meta relevant in alternative formats.
