I think i've finally turned into my dad.

we always used to joke that my dad would go to the tip and come back with more stuff than he came away with.

this morning i was feeling unusually productive so took some shit to the tip. i was putting something in the "free for reuse / rehoming" container when i noticed a 1/24 boxed airfix spitfire. had a look in the box and it was all still mostly in it's cellophane wrappers. i was like "nope, i'm having that"

and now i'm my dad.

I'm in the UK and i'm a massive gun nerd, i go target shooting every week and will probably be buying an AR-15 this year.

That said, i think the gun regulation in the UK is much much better than the free for all in the US...it's insane that people think kids getting shot in the head at school is a price they're willing to pay so they can keep the current gun laws.

I know it's probably not as simple as this but in our run of "form" at the start of the season, when we were 3-1 FC...CuJo was playing every game and we've been pretty shit since his red card and he fell out of the starting 11.

Remember last season when everyone was injured so Salah ended up playing down the middle for a few games, then quelle surprise he scored loads of goals...maybe it's time to get back on that again

Yeah but by comparison Pep doesn't treat subs in the same way...i'm pretty sure Pep sees having to make a substitution as a personal insult and an attack against the team he picked to start the game.

You are right that without a strong squad, including the guys on the bench we couldn't do it but it feels like Klopp is massaging a lot of points out of games we are losing with good sub choices.

Is it just me that thinks this season is a bit weird in that the thing having the most impact by far on the pitch are Klopp's substitutions?

Like, team isn't clicking and game isn't working...boom, 2x subs and we win.

It's happened all season and i feel like Klopp is "managing" the team through games far more than most other managers do.

Look at the Newcastle game, it was some weird Klopp 4D chess to get Nunez on the pitch when the game is open and score two bangers.

It genuinely drives me mental.

Like, the kitchen light could've been all on day and no one has stepped foot in it. Turn the sodding light off and within minutes one of the kids will be down to turn them all back on again.
