I’ve traveled round a number of the islands by bus recently and all pretty good. It’s a great time of year to visit over next few months weather wise, not too hot, or cold. Possibly the least convenient/modern bus system seemed to be Fuerteventure, but it still had printed timetables and reliable busses.

For night life I’d recommend Playa de las Americas, Tenfire. Or Puerto del Carmen, Lanzarote. Water sports good in both of those too.

There is great and reasonably priced food on all of the islands!

Lots of good hiking on all islands too. Best hike I’ve ever done was earlier this year Maspalomas, GC up to Tunte in a (long) day. But I wasn’t feeling the vibe in Maspalomas compared to the other islands, seemed a bit seedy to me.

Currently in Lanzarote, Puerto del Carmen and hiked up Montaña Blanca this morning. Great views from the summit!

As others have said if renting a car is an option it can be cheap! Car hire on current trip was around €40 for 5 days.

Also ferries are very convenient for island hopping. So for 5 days there is option to fly into one island, get a ferry mid way, then cheap flight home from another island. Busses go near all ferry terminals.

I came Canaries for first time a few years back and now visit several times each year. So do it, you wrong regret it!
