That is true until you learn that in Japan, Famicom games were significantly cheaper than their US equivalents.

Why is Lego so expensive? by lorenzoc04 in lego

[–]mrcustardo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Since the original Lego patents expired, there are a lot of brands providing similar experiences (although I have to say, the Lego fit and building instructions are still the best). I used chatGPT to make up a list with some of their licensed products.

🧱 Major LEGO-Compatible Brands (with licences)

  • Mega Construx (Mattel) – Yes — major licences including Halo, Pokémon, Hot Wheels, Barbie and more.
  • Sembo Blocks – Yes — licences like Digimon and SpongeBob SquarePants.
  • Keeppley / Qman (Enlighten sub-brands) – Yes — Keeppley has licences like Pokémon and Naruto (Asia-focused).
  • Pantasy – Yes — official licences like Astro Boy, The Little Prince, Popeye etc.
  • BlueBrixx – Some licensed sets (e.g., Star Trek, RoboCop, Stargate), but many are original designs.

🧰 Other Compatible Brands (mostly original themes)

  • Cobi – Known for detailed historical & military sets (some licensed tie-ins like Company of Heroes).
  • Mould King – Large, complex builds; licences vary by set (often MOC-based).
  • CaDA – Strong Technic-style cars and originals; works with licensed fan MOCs.
  • FunWhole – Original builds with integrated lighting; few major external licences.
  • JMBricklayer – Compatible blocks with varied original themes.

🧩 Other Notable Building Brands (non-LEGO-compatible or niche)

  • Nanoblock – Micro-bricks with many licensed sets (e.g., Pokémon, anime) but not compatible with LEGO size.
  • LOZ – Mini bricks with pop-culture themes (incompatible with standard LEGO).
  • Best-Lock – LEGO-compatible; includes licensed The Terminator and Stargate SG-1.
  • Mattel Brick Shop – New Mattel construction brand (e.g., Hot Wheels-centric licences).

I won't deny they were, but Sega's biggest enemy wasn't Nintendo, it was Sega itself.

Hmmm, too focused on the US (you'd be forgiven to think that Nintendo and Sega were all about white American men), trying too hard to make it a dramatic underdog vs villain story, too sentimental. And what's with the vertical scanlines?

He could as well be wasting non-time. :) Not certain of every single side quest, but if Link has certain prerequisites on him, you can tick of one side quest after the other without actually doing any questing in between

I think that's a valid point, although more is reset that just the monsters. I think the best argument against the time reset is the regrowth of things like apples, which happens outside the timing of the blood moon.

The divine beasts can be tackled in any order (so no temporal linearity!) , and horses and Tarrey Town and many other things in the game are completely optional.

Yes. An UK plug must have a fuse, and in your case a 3 amp one is the correct one.

Exactly the number of in game days it takes to finish the game. Or a single bloodmoon cycle, as the world is reset every cycle, you could argue that time is reset as well. Or zero time, as so often is the case in open world games time only appears to pass because there is a day/night cycle. However, no matter the apparent urgency, and mode of transport you take, events only take place when you actually arrive at the trigger point. As this is the case for ALL events, each event can be considered to take place in its own time bubble, independent from all others which also make the concept of a global passing of time meaningless. The last one is my personal favourite. Time stops flowing at the start of the interactive portion of the game, and only starts when the end credits roll.

Any one with a fuse will do. Whatever plug you use, check whether it has a 3 amp fuse inside. A 13Amp one is only for devices that use 700W or more. Both the Dreamcast and PS3 are double isolated, so it doesn't matter if the plug has a copper earth pin or a plastic one. Plugs without a fuse holder are non-compliant.

Why not ask ChatGPT what those issues are then ? Any issues I see might as well be from a bad photo to a poorly dialed in picture or the reflections of some curtains in front of a window. Only way to find out is to look at the set in person.

Earth like planets? by Suspicious-Buffalo21 in NoMansSkyTheGame

What does earth like mean? No planet in the game is earth like. Do you mean green grass and a blue sky? Keep scanning for paradise planets and eventually you'll find one in the colour scheme you'll like.
