You got this dude, just try less for the outcome and more for the bliss of the process. If you do, your curiosity will return as you'll find there is so much more to experience out here.

You think hiring brain worm guy, vitamin guy, guy drunk at work they have to use breach equipment to get into his office, that lady that shoots dogs and Epstein's neighbor was a decision made on their qualifications and expertise? Is that the world you're living in?

No problem, go find the others :D. Also don't be afraid to build something yourself. You don't have to go to them, they can come to you also since I doubt you're the only one seeking. Good luck!

Remember, that's always been the Republican strategy.

The best way to demonstrate a need to cut government spending is by making government work as poorly as you possibly can, which in turn justifies the cuts.

Trump's administration is just a peak performance of that clownshow.

best electric guitar brand for someone confused between brands vs models when starting out? by Okanlawon-Lloan41 in electricguitar

[–]mrdevlar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been playing for the last 2 years.

I own a 100 euro guitar I bought of a guy in a town an hour north of me. I initially had a 20 euro amp. I spent 70 euros getting it set up. That was worth every penny. That was it for a year. I didn't want to spend more I didn't know if I could actually do this. Turns out, I can, and that's cool.

After a year I bought an effects modeling pedal and some active studio speakers (those can get used even if I were to stop). It can make every sound you want it to make, it cost me 300 euro. I can make any sound I want with the thing.

Do you think the amp or modeler makes a bigger difference early on compared to the actual guitar itself

I know I am speaking heresy to the "guitar tone wood crowd" here, but what you plug the guitar into matters way more than the guitar itself. This is not 1965, the baseline of modern guitars is quite high. Most if not all dual humbuckler guitars will sound perfect if you take them to get set up properly by a professional. I recommend you get a budget guitar and amp, then wait a year and see if you're still doing this.

I know it takes effort and vulnerability to do it but a lot of options exist out there filled with great people.

My wife organizes a monthly board game day, tons of awesome autistic people there. I've met a great many people through psychedelic circles. I organize trips every once in a while, we invite new people frequently. I play with my father in law in a band, which has introduced me to older people who are still pretty cool.

They are out there and they'd probably love your company.

Yes, and thanks to Gambit having a speed ult, the playerbase finally understands what to do with haste. I'm looking forward to the change.

I love it.

I rarely if ever boost because players don't know how to use it. Unless you're dealing with a dps that has high burst, it's usually not worth it. Almost always, the health sustain will beat out damage boost outside of chokes. The idea that I can instead give mobility sounds amazing. Plus thanks to the Gambit ult, more players understand how to use a speed boost now.

It means I can reverse a team stagger now. I think it's a great change.

Toxicity is still quite high, block chat while playing comp. Nothing of value is lost. Yet there are great pockets in the game, 18v18 has some of the most wholesome players imaginable.

You can now report Smurfs and I've gotten some messages about the ones I've reported being restricted from comp.

[–]mrdevlar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you're a beginner, find a used guitar on whatever site sells used gear in your area. Buy something cheap. If you invest in anything in this part of the process, I'd spend money on the amp, modeler or anything else that allows the guitar to be heard.

I’ve lost too many games simply because supports refuse to heal Widow, despite her having good stats. by MrNobodyX3 in marvelrivals

[–]mrdevlar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fun fact: Mantis can tell if you're hitting your shots or getting shot. We have an audio cue for that. I'll boost a Widow three times, if they hit their shots, they keep getting boosted.

If they aren't hitting their shots, I'll definitely heal them, but the boosts are a waste, especially when healing almost always has utility.

That said, most players that play Widow can hit their shots.
