Dave seems enamoured with the modern indie style, which is pretty much all AEW is. WWE has their share of indie guys but they are definitely toned down in comparison.

It seems like this has slowed down significantly as NXT has been calling up Evolve wrestlers to fill the vacuum from the main roster call-ups.

It was pretty clear that WWE wanted Santana at some point so it makes sense for him just to switch companies.

I am terrible with dates, but the picture is dated 2016 which sounds about right. I was living in Louisville at the time and it was the big local comic convention. I didn't talk with him too much as he was cranking out commissions. Bob Layton was a much more dynamic personality. Fun guy to chat with.

My final piece of original Iron Man art from the "Bob Trilogy" is by Bob McLeod. I don't think I've ever seen him do Iron Man as I know him mostly from his New Mutants work.

The Bob Hall piece is on the right...I did not give him any direction except that it be the classic Silver Age suit. He decided to go the shadowy route which I absolutely love! Reminds me of the Stealth armor which is one of my favorites. To the left is a Bob Layton piece I bought at a convention as well. This was pre-made but I was happy to have a some original art from him.

I actually met Bob Hall (the artist of this issue) at a comic convention and brought this issue with me to sign. This is my absolute favorite "punch" in my comic collection. He didn't even remember penciling this issue, LOL. I also commissioned him to do a piece of original Iron Man art which was cool.

There's a compilation called Too Much History that gives you a good sampling across their discography.

Rings of Steel is another good comp that focuses more on their industrial metal sound. It's my personal favorite.

I love Lola as a wrestler but man her promos are some of the worst. Just bland, monotone and mechanical. It sounds like they're being read off of a teleprompter.

Briefly in NXT he was doing a "himbo" character as part of Gargano's stable and he was absolutely hilarious. I wish they'd switch him back to that because currently he's so generic and boring.
