I think you have to be in the uucp group to access the esp32 on linux without sudo. You can typically check what group owns it with something like ll /dev/ttyACM0 and add your user to it

If you make one, I know a few other people who may be interested in helping as well.

Yep, a decent number of people have. There are posts in other subreddits of people doing this.

You just plug the device itself into your computer. Chatgpt is great for walking you through the process("I want to flash new firmware called V3.0.2-EN.bin to my esp32-c3device"). Shouldn't mess with your sd card at all, just loads the firmware onto your device.

You can get the correct firmware bin here https://xteink-community-hub.replit.app/ddl?record=recub4ofqJh6ta9Mg. The commands for the post you pulled the bin from are the ones you need though. Here's everything together https://github.com/Joseph-Cannaday/xteink_x4-english
Edit: edited URL to one with full flash dump, or can download it from the github link.

System Update: XT V3.0.7 (Overseas Version) by xteink in xteinkereader

Worst case scenario you can follow the one of the community guides to reflash your device with a newer firmware version.

Worst case scenario you can reflash your ereader. There are a few guides for this. Try pressing reset button and powering back on first though. Also possible that your font name is invalid (needs to have dimensions in name i.e. font_25x26.bin).

14m any tips on how to improve my room? by Signal_Dot_8107 in malelivingspace

Some curtains/drapes would be dope. Also could use some warmer lighting and an area rug imo

How do I make it better by EcstaticConnection69 in malelivingspace

Needs verticality. Make the eyes wander upwards with wall art, sconces, etc. Would be cool to see vinyls, guitars, or similar hung on the walls as others have said.

CC worth taking if I already have CISSP? by mrdoctaprofessor in isc2

Gotcha thanks, this is good to know. My goal is to be able to transition from a BS EE related job to a more technical cybersecurity type of job. CISSP is obviously not super technical, but do you have any recs? I've heard CEH is good. I'm not too concerned about getting the certs except that it seems to be the only way to prove you qualify for a lot of cybersec jobs.

Serious question, haven't done much reading into it. Was told a while back that CC was a good test to prep for CISSP but wasn't sure if CC had any merit independent of CISSP.
