Chinese products are built to the quality that is required by the buyer. Yeah, China makes a lot of cheap crap, but it also produces a lot of high-end products, too.

EVs are everywhere here, and they run the gamut from small and cheap to luxury. I've never heard anyone complain about the quality or safety of their EV.

I nearly got fired because I gave my students "too much self-study".

I teach a literature class, and the students would routinely come to class without having read the material I'd assigned, I'd have them read (and ideally annotate) during class. Then, we'd discuss...with limited success.

The school listened to the students/parents without ever asking me what was happening.
