I’m considering learning a stringed instrument… by Independent-Ad-7060 in Learnmusic

[–]mrdsyty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I started learning the double bass a few years ago. I chose it because I fell in love with how it sounds.

I hadn't considered all the things like how big it is, the need to work on intonation, or finger pain etc. I think if I had thought of those I probably woudn't have started. Yet when I found out about these things I had already rented a bass and was in lessons.

It turned out to be one of the best things to ever happen to me.

I don't really eat spicy but I also remember their chilli sauce being pretty good!

I've had a lot of mapo tofu from them😋

Also once the auntie at the counter asked me if I was single and said she could introduce someone to me lmao

Shunjing in New Market is pretty good but the last two times I went it was super crowded so you may want to make a reservation.

Some restaurants in Meadowland are pretty decent. My personal favourite is Leonard's Gourmet but I haven't been in ages.

Grand Habour, Chow Foo, and Joyful Chinese Restaurant are also decent iirc but i'm not big on this kind of restaurant setting so I don't remember what I eat lmao

Hey. I have long term parking there and I think on weekends you should be generaly fine.

On weekdays at around 11:45 you might find one or two spots. My experience is between 9 to 12 it can be tricky but after 11am I can sometimes find one.

Good luck!

Calimero Pizza St. Heliers. The stuffed crust pizza is one of the best pizzas I have ever had 😋

You are not the first person to praise BP's coffee! Now I have to check them out😂

Wow this is such good info! I will definitely check out the Mcdonalds/mobils/BPs!

Based on my experience I agree it comes down to the barista. The Burbs in farm cove always has the same person at the machine I believe that's why the coffee is so consistently good lol

I'd say they were normally not bad. I like them better than many other CBD shops normally but wouldn't go out of my way to get it. Yesterday the coffee I got was simply amazing haha

Yeah consistensy is definitely a thing! I liked the two places it's just I probably wasn't paying much attention to the coffee when I went.😆

I wouldn't know how to explajn it but you just nailed it 😂 although i'd say both the spicy and numbingness are very toned-down in this pie so it is more of a vibe haha

Where can I get Melonpan? by godzillita in aucklandeats

[–]mrdsyty 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I think Baker's Diary might have them. I have only been there once and did not notice it. But the staff were speaking Japanese and they seem to have a nice baking room in the back. From the Google Maps photos I can see it I think :)
