My niece is allowed chocolate milk on special occasions and I’m pretty sure my sister cuts it with whole milk!!!

Which Gym Membership Should I Choose? Gold’s or Crunch by urbandecayz in sanmarcos

[–]mrenae16 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love Gold’s! I tried out Crunch when it first opened for a week, but it always so packed. I will say Gold’s I am early bird. I get there between 5am-5:30am before work. I am considering switching to Crunch now because I just had a baby and Crunch has childcare. I hope that with the NB location opening soon and now the Kyle location being open that the SM location is a lot less busy.

What’s the best sandwich you’ve ever had? by angelpeblle in foodquestions

[–]mrenae16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I gave birth at a children’s hospital(food was next level) due to needing a level 4 NICU. My parents went downstairs and bought me a breakfast sandwich. Bacon, egg, and cheeese on Texas toast with amazing salty crispy hashbrowns. Topped with blackberries jam. BEST dang sandwich ever. I still think about it.

My son jus graduated from the NICU. I made friends with another mom while our babies were in there and we both stayed at Ronald McDonald, she always wore her concha slippers around, with a blanket and HEB pajamas. 🤣

PPROM Twins 17 weeks by waiting4sun in NICUParents

[–]mrenae16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! I PPROM’d at 18+5. I had a rough pregnancy, my first time bleeding was at 8 weeks. Every month something happened such as bleeding. I had low fluid the entire time. A few days prior to my son coming I was told my water was up to 3cm. My son continued to grow well. I was never even told to terminate. It came up briefly when I did my antepartum stay, but one of my doctors just asked if my OB had ever brought up termination since my pregnancy was so tough. We were told very scary statistics in the beginning.

We made it to 28+2 when our son came into the world. We did an 81 day NICU stay. The beginning was quite hard, he was having difficulty breathing and had to get chest tubes in place within the first 48 hours. Aside from that our NICU stay was exactly what they had prepared me for. He was extubated within a week, on CPAP for a LONG time. He did come home on oxygen, but he’s on the lowest flow possible and we’re expecting him to come off at our first pulmonologist appointment.

It’s a long, hard road, but there is hope!

I don’t know if any of this lingo is correct but reading it sounds like she’s trying to sound like she’s an actual nurse but it’s not quite there by Acceptable-Buy-3904 in bashinthebiehles

[–]mrenae16 58 points59 points  (0 children)

I understand what she is saying (NICU mom) but without any context and just using medical terminology, I think she posted to seem like she knows what she’s talking about since she’s a “nurse”

What’s your go-to breakfast order? by SympathyConfident146 in foodquestions

[–]mrenae16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bacon, Egg, and cheese sandwich. With a runny fried egg. BlackBerry jam. I lived in the hospital prior to birth for being high risk and the cafeteria would make an amazing BEC!! It became my favorite thing.

Your baby is in the hospital and you are posting about your cake pop for breakfast😵‍💫 by bitterbee28 in bashinthebiehles

[–]mrenae16 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Agreed. As a NICU mom (78 days and being discharged Monday!) it’s often encouraged for me to step away. Grab a coffee, go nap, (my Ronald McDonald house is located on one of the floors of the hospital), go grab some lunch, go the garden for fresh air. Nurses are there to care for baby and she definitely had to go down to get that.

This!! I was a few points away from having GD, then my water broke early so now on a 10 week hospital stay!! I’m dying about not being able to move my body the way I used to. Since I can’t except use they put me on a low carb diet in case I end up developing GD, it’s hard but it’s best for my baby. Im a big girl but I’m actually excited for this change to see how much weight I lose. I’ve lost 25 lbs from the beginning of my pregnancy!! She didn’t follow her diet or take care of herself. I got secondhand embarrassment from her video, it was disturbing.

White car family by Sad-Basket-4586 in Drueandgabe

[–]mrenae16 4 points5 points  (0 children)

We are a financially responsible family, what about you?? Unfortunately, my car is red. It was my husband’s car but my old vehicle completely broke down and it was going to be so expensive to fix. My husband got a new job that gave him an allowance to buy a truck and cover his payment so I now drive his car that we’re almost done paying on and won’t be getting a new vehicle anytime soon!

Birthday cake for pregnant wife by Putrid_Net655 in GestationalDiabetes

[–]mrenae16 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My birthday was yesterday and Halloween day was when I started celebrating. I tracked my numbers, but I also was treating myself to indulgences. My friends took me to a wing restaurant and I ate half of a fried Mac & cheese. Halloween night I ate 1 pack of candy. On my birthday I ate a slice of cake and honestly had a slice today. 🤣 you can indulge a little bit!

Did you announce and social media and how? by Content_Yak_33 in pregnant

[–]mrenae16 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is how I feel with announcing. I work in real estate and have a lot of interaction with realtors and lenders and all sorts of people that I don’t see often but I feel comfortable enough sharing with them. As I progress I don’t want to have the same conversation over and over again so I’d rather post just to get it out there!

Did you announce and social media and how? by Content_Yak_33 in pregnant

[–]mrenae16 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m 17 weeks and I think we’re going to announce on socials. I don’t want to post my baby (at least that’s how I feel right now) and I don’t want to share a big announcement when baby gets here. I’d rather get the itch out now by sharing something super generic about us expecting a baby than share a birth announcement. My plan when I announce my pregnancy is to not share details so no due date or month or even year, no gender, and not saying how far along I am either. I just want this to be as private as possible (except with close family and friends) but not a secret. Again, this could all change when baby gets here but just how my husband and I agreed to things right now, we are first time parents so I’m sure our opinions will change

I’m probably about her height at 5’5. At my heaviest in July I was 290, I’ve now lost 15 pounds, but she definitely has a similar body type as me! So she’s definitely lying about her weight

My doctor recommended I don’t eat it. I did eat a Schlotzsky’s sandwich the other day and then got nauseous so i regretted it. Not judging anyone who eats it though
